"Decided to stop by here Sunday 8/27. The restaurant has a very nice and chill atmosphere, we sat out on the patio.Our server Kaitlyn was easily the highlight of our experience. She was super friendly, bubbly and attentive. We ordered the Salmon with Hollandaise sauce and it was hands down the best salmon we’ve ever gotten from a restaurant. We very much enjoyed our time at Sam’s Boathouse, we will definitely be back. If you want an out of this world experience ask for Kaitlyn!"

"I would give this place 3 1/2 stars, but not 4. The oyster P.O.’ boy was outstanding, but the shrimp corn bisque and shrimp and crab bienville were both bland. The bienville was runny also. The hush puppies were pretty good, but could use a little more seasoning. Service was very good and prices were reasonable."

"We were a party of four with a reservation for 7 PM and were seated right on time. However, we waited a while for service. Our server, Emily, was fantastic. We ordered appetizers; the fried oysters were cold but had a delicious flavor. Unfortunately, the gumbo was lacking seasoning and was quite watery, so we decided to send it back. Everything else we ordered was excellent, and we definitely plan to return. There were three large parties in the restaurant, which may have contributed to the delays, but Emily was attentive and very kind. This was our first visit, and we look forward to coming back. One downside was the parking, which was very challenging."

"I absolutely love this place! It has never disappointed me. The food and service are exceptional, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality you receive. For appetizers, I highly recommend the fried cheese or the spinach dip. You can ask for wheat pita with the spinach dip instead of the usual white pita if you prefer. For my main course, I usually opt for the chicken shawarma pasta Phoenicia, as I’m a big fan of both pasta and chicken shawarma. "I would give it 10 stars if I could! Our experience began with a friendly waitress who genuinely aimed to please, and she certainly succeeded. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and her expertise was evident, especially since she was born and raised in Houma! This was our second visit to Houma; years ago, we dined at a place called La Trouvaille, which was outstanding but is no longer in business.
