"What a great place! We arrived at opening at 11am and chose a great spot for 9 out by the water fountain. The samplers of wine were great and we each got a great souvenir glass. Lunch food was delicious, we had Cubans, pot pies and Reubens. We also took home a Case of 12 bottles. The owners here are southern sweet, kind and attentive. Thanks for making my 50th bday so great ?"

"Within its classification. Surf Dog is the best on Topsail Island. Husband wife team own and operate the restaurant which has become a favorite for both locals tourists. They have a varied menu from hot dog to steaks, in a casual and friendly service. Their potato chips are home and excellent. I prefer my chips floppy or cooked lightly and during my last visit mychips were cooked a bit more than normal. One of the owners asked if my chips were OK I said they were fine. He knew theywere overcooked and said he was training a new chef so they would be re-cooked. They strive for a high level of customerservice. Good deck for outside dining."
