I agreed, only to have them come back seven minutes later asking if I wanted to substitute the rice for another side. I declined, but then I saw the cashier and cook having a silent discussion. Five minutes after that, they informed me it would be another seven minutes. Yes, this really happened, and it was both uncomfortable and ridiculous. I eventually decided to cancel my order, and the cashier seemed surprised when I requested a refund. Another customer who was waiting even commented on how long it was taking. The cashier also tried to convince him to substitute rice for something else, which made me wonder if they just stop making rice at a certain point in the evening and try to persuade customers to choose alternate sides. As patrons, we deserve honest information about wait times and whether rice is available before making a payment."
