"The calamari appetizer was decent, and the bread was good, though I prefer it to be pre-sliced, as I subscribe to the "you touch it, you eat it" rule. I ordered a cup of soup, but I can't even recall what it was—perhaps the distractions at the kids' table contributed to its forgetfulness. Feeling a bit stuffed from the Thanksgiving feasting, I opted for a Caprese salad. It was presented nicely, with layers of tomato and mozzarella arranged in a fan shape. Unfortunately, the pesto-like dressing was too sweet for my liking. It was filling enough, and I was relieved that I hadn’t ordered anything else. Looking around at the kids' table, the pizza didn't look particularly appetizing, and the mac and cheese appeared to be swimming in cheese. One polite child even hesitated to let me send it back for a replacement, a credit to their well-mannered upbringing. We didn't order dessert, as we brought our own cakes to celebrate. I have to commend the wait staff, who did an excellent job managing a large group of over 25 people spread across two long tables. They were also very helpful with setting up and serving the cakes. I feel a bit bad writing this review since I was a guest at a family celebration that they generously paid for. I'm thankful for the chance to try this place, but I likely won't return on my own. For similar food quality, I'd choose Olive Garden any day."

"I'm not sure what to make of this place. It's in a little strip mall in a somewhat sketchy part of town. We went in and were immediately seated at a table, but we were the only ones in the restaurant at a table; everyone else was around the bar, which covers about of the restaurant. We stayed around hours, and for almost all that time, my date was the only female customer in the entire place. I thought that was odd. It was about guys, and then her. Later one other woman came in with a husband. The men at the restaurant skewed much older than I had expected; quite a few grayhaired, balding guys wearing big gold chains. Not really my type of crowd; the others were somewhat younger guys wear baseball caps and the like. Perhaps it's my imagination, and perhaps because she was the only female there, but it seemed as if a lot of men especially the older ones kept glancing at my date, which made things a bit uncomfortable. Based on the restaurant's name, I was expecting something a bit more upscale, like maybe a gastropub, or something more classy. The food was actually ok, better than the ambiance would suggest, and was reasonably priced. The drink list was just ok, but not exceptional in either selection or price for midlevel draft beer was the weekday special that night. Unfortunately, the menu they have posted online was not the same one in the restaurant. We had already chosen our meals beforehand based on the online menu, only to discover what was actually available differed e.g., no flank steak as the online menu suggests; on the other hand, there were several Greek items e.g., gyro not listed online. The waitresses were nice and helpful, though we did wait a bit toward the end before being offered a check. Definitely not a place for a romantic meal or for a group of young people. Perhaps will be ok to watch a game when football season arrives, as they have a fair number of TVs around the place, like a typical sports bar"
