"As for the food, everything was cold—not just one plate, but all four of our meals. Warm plates do a better job of keeping food at a good temperature. The waffles were rock-hard and flavorless, the eggs were watery, and nothing tasted homemade. To top it off, you were out of milk! It would have taken only a quick trip to Hannaford, which is just five minutes away, to grab some. You should have been aware that you were running low the day before, especially since your closing time is 2 PM, not 10 PM. That gives you ample time to restock for the next morning. Even the hot chocolate was watery. There was also a lack of consistency between what was listed on the menu and what we actually received.
On a positive note, the place was clean, and we were able to walk right in and get a table—something that can be a warning sign for restaurant owners when other nearby places have a wait. It’s nice to see it run as a family business. You have a great foundation; I hope you can improve upon it for the sake of your family’s future."
