"I initially wanted a ribeye, but they were out, so I settled on the hamburger steak, a loaded potato, and a side salad with ranch dressing. I also wanted to order a pimento grilled cheese sandwich but was informed it was actually a pimento BLT. We went ahead and ordered that, along with some homemade chips.
Unfortunately, the sandwich was disappointing; the bread was only lightly toasted and cold, and there was barely any pimento cheese on it, just an abundance of shredded lettuce. The homemade chips were passable, but the hamburger steak felt like a burger patty covered in jarred mushrooms, brown gravy, and red onions. The loaded potato was decent, but we didn't discover the butter and sour cream until we reached the bottom of the bag while tossing it out – that was on us, but we would have appreciated a heads-up from the staff.
The salad was a letdown as well; the shredded lettuce was soggy, there were only a few diced tomatoes, and it was overwhelmed with shredded cheese. Regrettably, that's the only picture I took. The homemade ranch dressing was tasty, but overall, it was a disappointing experience.
We left still feeling hungry and decided to head to Subway across the street, where Catherine made us an Italian BMT. It's frustrating to think that I could have saved myself the drive to Tracks and $30 by starting my meal at the spot right by my hotel."
