"Overcharging Customers! I work next to a Dairy Queen and treat myself every two weeks, ordering the same thing each time. When the young lady told me my total, it seemed high. At the window, I asked why the cost was so much, and she responded with a bad attitude, reading back my order and asking if I wanted a receipt. I said yes. After handing me my change and receipt, she quickly gave me my food. As I drove away, I noticed I was charged separately instead of the meal price I requested, with substitutions like cheese curds and a Blizzard. I returned to the drive-thru and asked about the charge for substituting a Blizzard, and she said they ring it up separately. I thanked her and left, but this $3 overcharge per person made me realize I might have been overcharged many times when bringing my family of six over the past 16 years. I placed the same order on the DQ app and it was $3 cheaper. Unfortunately, we won’t be eating here anymore. Now, when people in our small town mention DQ overcharging, I can show my photos as proof. I’m sharing my receipt and app order pictures clearly showing that a Blizzard can be substituted for a drink with a small extra charge."
