"These reviews are quite interesting! I always order from this restaurant, and the food is definitely good, especially the popular dishes you typically find at Chinese places. The only item I don’t enjoy is the boneless spare ribs, as they tend to be too fatty for my taste. On the other hand, I love the fried dumplings—they're absolutely delicious! The service could be improved a bit, but given how busy they are, especially in the afternoons and evenings, I can understand why."

"I like large fried rice with pork and shrimp. I never feel like it 's enough so I always ask for $5 more pork AND $5 more shrimp. I have placed this exact order at MANY Chinese restaurants from the Bronx to Brooklyn and they always tell me that it 's so much that they actually have to put it in a short alluminum pan. This place gave it to me in the regular large box ? she put the bag on the counter and I felt like I was obligated to follow through with the order so I paid the $30.50 but I was walking to the door and everything was saying NO DEAL . I apologized a few times and asked for a refund. (Never made it out the door, definitely didn 't touch the food or even box. Just plastic bag) she was LIVID snatched the bag tossed the money on the counter. I didn 't think that was necessary but I understood her frustration. This spot just isn 't for me. Plus $30 and no free Beverage."

OMG it came with broccoli ???? it was delicious the shrimp were big large nothing I expected.I also, ordered the Steamed mixed vegetables with chicken OMG this dish was amazing of course I had to share the chicken with my2 Black Cats ??????. "Hello, as a woman with a food allergy, I have found Hong Kong 97 to be one of the safest and most delicious restaurants. Their orange chicken is absolutely amazing, with a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors, and a tender piece of chicken in the middle. The crab puffs are also delicious, not too hard and served in generous portions. My fiancé loves their general Tso's chicken, appreciating the seasoning and care put into each dish. The staff is also wonderful, always ready to accommodate any requests or questions about allergies. We have been loyal customers at Hong Kong 97 for about 7 years and I highly recommend giving them a try."

"The Best Chinese Food in Stamford. I've tried a dozen things from Hua Lin, and it gets better every time. Forget Stamford this is the best Chinese food I've ever had. "Honestly I would give this establishment 0 stars. Going off of the good reviews I was tricked into ordering. I placed the order and couldn’t decide between the butterfly shrimp and the fan tail shrimp. Not having the menu but still taking a chance I called to order telling the man who took the order I couldn’t decide. He never once corrected me as I ordered the fried scallop , shrimp and broccoli then wanting to ordered fried shrimp. He said fantail is fried and butterfly shrimp is egg foo young . I had this order delivered and then called on the phone stating that I got egg foo young. The lady there was belligerent over the phone , loud , yelling , telling me stop talking and listen to her.This made me and my boyfriend go to return the delivered food. This place was like a chinese restaurant in the hood with no customers , husband and wife I am guessing as the both greeted us yelling , pointing at the pictures on the menu . I then explained that it looks like egg foo young and i didn’t see any shrimp. Then told her when you google butterfly shrimp it shows fried large shrimp as i have ordered before from other chinese fast food restaurants. She got even more nasty and said don’t look at google and here take back your money and don’t order here anymore. I said gladly the food was horrible and had no taste. I can see why they were empty and they had to put their own reviews in to boost the scores. This is how you respond to first time customers. I have lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years and never have received horrible nasty service like this. I warn you do not order here! Save your money , I am also writing to the better business bureau and consumer complaint board. Lady your business needs to be in the hood not here, not with that attitude. The only reason I kept my composure while she yelled is because I am in law enforcement and viewed her as an emotionally disturbed person. This establishment will answer these reviews and argue , but customers are always right your nasty attitude and telling people don’t come back in Long Island will shut the business down and have customers give more bad reviews. No customers equal closed business. Please take some classes in hospitality and business."

"It pains me to write this 1 Star review, but if I can stop one person from wasting their money then so be it. We have been LOYAL customers for 3 years. The prices have gone up. I understand that prices for everything have gone up, but what I don’t understand is why the PORTION size has gotten so small. You use to get the black rectangle containers with clear lids FULL of food. Now the entree has downsized to a small round container with barely anything in it. We substituted rice for noodles which cost an EXTRA $3 and the noodles were HALF full. I almost went up there! And to beat it all, the spring rolls are now the size of my pinky finger! That’s when I knew I had to leave an honest review with pictures. The food is nothing special! It taste just like every other Chinese restaurant! I think their practices are unethical. Maybe if you eat inside it’s different, but ordering over the phone and online is a waste of money."

"We frequently visit Happy Dragon restaurant. The food is consistently hot, fresh, and delicious. I believe their dumplings and potstickers are among the best in the tri-state area. We also enjoy their General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and beef with broccoli. I have never had a disappointing meal here, it's always scrumptious, and the prices are fair. "American Airlines strikes again: this time, they overbooked all outbound flights to LAX and I was stranded in the area near JFK."
