"I ordered this for one of my clients because the price seemed reasonable. I was going to pick up the food and didn't see the venue at first. I finally found it and walked into a dimly lit place that was a bar and grill. I was greeted when I walked in and I proceeded to tell the server behind the bar I was there for a pick up. He knew what I ordered and put everything together for me. The server was very nice. I took the food to my client and took my share home. Everything looked and smelled great. The food was pretty good. I order grilled vegetables with rice and it was a good amount of food and everything was reasonably priced."

"This place is extremely popular among all age groups. When we visited on Friday night, it was nearly full, but we were lucky enough to secure seats. The ambiance is fantastic, with dim lighting and a sports screen atmosphere. We ordered a few drinks and appetizers. The blue martini was delicious, but the other drink didn't taste great. When we provided feedback, they promptly removed it from the bill. The spicy edamame was excellent. For dinner, we chose the veg burger and Thai pork chop, both of which were tasty. The sides included sweet potato fries drizzled with maple syrup, a unique combination that surprised us. The service was exceptional. Our server listened to our concerns, answered all our questions, and helped us decide what to order. This place is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area."

"We found broken glass in our food at this restaurant. Although the server was great, the manager did not accommodate us when we brought the issue to their attention. One of the tacos (carne asada) had a piece of glass in it, almost causing harm to my wife's tooth. The manager made excuses and claimed there was no glass in the kitchen, refusing to compensate for the incident. We provided our information and were told that an insurance claim would be filed. Despite this, the bill was not waived. After contacting the store manager, they eventually resolved the issue but the handling of the situation was unprofessional. We were disappointed with how we were treated and felt as though we were being blamed for the incident."

"We had a large group gathering on the patio with 40+ people. When the first of our group was seated, we confirmed with our servers that we could have separate checks. The food and service were excellent. However, after most of the group had finished eating, the manager, Chris Crawford, informed us that they could only split the bill into up to 5 checks, despite what we had been told by the serving staff. We tried to reason with him and mentioned that the serving staff had assured us that separate checks would be fine. We attempted to group into 5 checks, but only one combined bill came out with a total of $1400+. We had to try and split this amount among over 40 people. Throughout this process, the manager stayed hidden and left his serving staff to deal with the chaos that ensued. He offered no assistance, disappointed his staff, and ensured that our group would not be returning to this restaurant."

"Finally got a chance to try Sol with my favorite lady in Charlotte, NC this past weekend. We didn't receive the warmest welcome at Sol. I didn't like the host's attitude, who cared more about our reservation than a formal greeting. But, we came for the food and not his temperament. After finally being seated, we ordered the Green Chile Chicken Nachos for an appetizer and margaritas on the rocks. The nachos balanced the bad vibe we encountered coming through the door. Lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. The margaritas were delicious as well. Kudos to the bartender. For my entree, I ordered the Wood-Fire Grilled Salmon over smoked gouda grits. The salmon was good. The red chile glaze was a nice touch on top of the grilled flavor. The grits on the other hand...were room temp, stiff, and lumpy. I didn't taste the flavor of the smoked gouda cheese and the poblano peppers had no spice...very disappointing. My fiancée enjoyed her Chicken Enchiladas entree, which had to be sent back the first time to be corrected for an additional minute wait. All in all, it is a nice modern style restaurant with a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. If you can ignore the lack of hospitality you may encounter and avoid the smoked gouda grits, I'm sure Sol can satisfy your taste buds."

"The food is delicious, but I do have one concern: there just isn’t enough chicken in the burritos and salads. In my salad, I found only three tiny pieces of chicken, and I couldn’t even spot any in the burrito. It seemed like they substituted it with beans instead. They should really call it a bean burrito or bean salad instead of a chicken burrito or chicken bowl. I’m willing to give them another chance, but if it happens again, I might need to look for another Mexican restaurant. Food rating: 3."

"I visit this restaurant frequently and usually enjoy the atmosphere in the main dining area. Unfortunately, this time our service was extremely disappointing. For instance, we were never offered a refill on our water. There were two of us, and we ordered five margaritas, yet our server barely checked in on us to see if we had finished our drinks. There were many small issues with the service that added up. I left a 20% tip, not because I felt the service was deserving, but because I was concerned that a lower tip might be seen as me being cheap rather than reflecting the poor service we received. Overall, it was a letdown."

"I ordered the loaded nachos during happy hour, but they were not even worth the discounted price of five dollars. The dish was poorly put together, with clumps of crushed cheddar cheese, chunks of chicken, and a glob of tangy sauce. There were only a few scattered tomatoes and some chopped green peppers on top. I could have easily made a better version at home. If I had prepared it myself, I would have at least added some spices to enhance the flavor. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience."

"We ordered a few different of the big breakfast items and then a side of ham and a **** Mary. The **** Mary made the whole experience bad. It was tomato flavored water and then to make up for that they put way too much spice into it. It was undrinkable without burning your mouth and then not being able to taste anything else. "Yo this spot is . I got the surf and turf burrito and the homegirl got the tacos and they was all bomb. The atmosphere was so dope. The only thing is the parking is very limited so you have to park in the neighborhood that had signs that day don't ask that was confusing and if you go there between 12 and 2 prepare to stand in line for a min. "I suppose we shouldn't expect some healthy choices at a BBQ restaurant so when you come here, expect to break your diet. A party of three, we ordered three main dishes: sliders (much enjoyed), chicken (also very good) and pulled pork (generous serving but a little tough The side dishes and I love sides. dishes are light on choices of things that are green. The collard greens are tasty but aren't vegetarian. The coleslaw is a little. on the dry side but that is better than gloppy mayo! The baked beans were not our favorite but my goodness, the sweet potato! It is a standout. Smoked. and simply terrific. The cornbread is very good."

"Midday visit. Appreciated the friendly small atmosphere. They have an extensive tap list and well appointed food menu. The salmon tasted fresh, not fishy like frozen and thawed sometimes can. "Bennys USED to be the go to destination. This used to be an amazing Soup and a great place to eat, but lately something changed, you get less of everything and it all costs more money. No chips, no salsa, this particular soup used to have plenty of chicken in the Homemade Mexican Chicken Soup .You can see that they have completely tried to take advantage of loyal customers. The staff is hard working this seems to be a management issue. I used to love Bennys now, I will likely order from other Mexican restaurants that are generous in their portions and charge half as much."
