"While I had previously recommended this restaurant due to our enjoyable dining experiences, I can't say the same after our visit last night. It was flat iron steak and shrimp night, and the food was disappointing. The steak was so tough that I couldn’t eat it, and the shrimp were burnt, resembling something from a grocery store freezer. The waitress did apologize, though the issue wasn't her fault. We had requested to substitute the mashed potatoes for cottage cheese and were informed it would cost an extra $3.00, so we decided to skip the potatoes altogether. In the end, I had my salad but couldn’t eat the steak or shrimp, and with no potatoes on the plate, we received only a 10% discount on the bill. Ironically, the cottage cheese substitution would have cost more than the discount we received for our terrible meal. This just seems absurd to me! Moving forward, I will not be ordering the special or the steak and shrimp."
