"The food at Parallel 38 is excellent. The atmosphere, relatively quiet dinning area upstairs, and intimacy really augments a first class dining experience. My only concern is that we made reservations to a particular time and it was a good 20 25 min after the reservation time slot that we were able to fully enjoy their cuisine. I realize it was a busy night and they were aware of the delay. But it rather diminishes the point of doing reservation at a specific time. It's a matter of setting the right expectations. If there is an expected large variance in time selected vs. time seated, present the range of the possible wait, or rather than make wait times specific (e.g., 8:20 pm) collapse them into wider groups (8 9 pm) for reservations you would have accepted between 8 and 8:30 pm. With that quibble set aside, this is a really lovely restaurant for dinning in small to medium sized groups. The bar area is a bit small in the winter, though there is a nice summer usable balcony that we've enjoyed in the past. Fixing the wait time expectations would make this a solid 5 star experience."
