"We used to go here for takeout all the time about 2 3 times a month in the winter. The food used to be that good. All that changed about 2 years ago but every once in a while we would try again looking for the food that used to be good. We always get the same thing, chicken and broccoli. But as I said it's just not the same. It tastes rather questionable. The sauce has become acidic tasting and the meat suspicious looking. We tried again last Friday (05 01 2020 and nothing has changed except this time we were left with an upset stomach after eating our meal. Also the attitude of the cashiers is NOT friendly or accommodating. I'm always left with an unwelcoming feeling when I go there. Unfortunately, in this time of trying to support our local restaurants (due to the Wuhan virus , we will not be returning to Zhang's. (And the restaurant in Old Saybrook is absolutely disgustingly dirty! It's really gross just look at the poor goldfish and their tanks. Somebody should rescue those poor things."

"TL;DR: Our dinner at Zhang was so enjoyable that we didn't want to stop eating! We moved to the coast about six years ago and were on the hunt for great Asian cuisine, but for some reason, we overlooked Zhang. What a mistake that was! Zhang's food is fantastic! I had the Pad Thai and my son ordered chicken lo mein, both of which were excellent. We also tried the steamed and fried dumplings, and they were amazing too. Since this was our first experience at Zhang, we definitely plan to return and explore more of the menu! "
