"Updated review; still one of my favorite places. I was reading some reviews: this is not Indian; it 's Pakastani- slight different spices and presentation. And the fish and chips is solid; while it 's not a proper 'Fish and Chips ' pub, the combination of spices in the batter is phenomenal. It 's a takeout place (you can eat there as well; just ambiance isn 't 'wow '. my preference: always the palak paneer (spinach with paneer , bangain archari (note; it 's spicy eggplant dish , and kadhi pakora (veg dumpling in yellow yogurt sauce . Comes with naan, or rice; but get the naan: it 's made fresh onsite and is huge and amazing. I always ask for tamarind sauce. If you 're worried about spice level; they will accommodate you."

"The name of this restaurant suggests it’s a high-end, five-star establishment, but the reality is a cozy, family-friendly spot with better-than-average prices and tasty food. The service and staff truly deserve a five-star rating! The Gator Bites were absolutely delicious, and the spread that accompanies the crackers was fantastic—especially when paired with a few drops of Crystal Hot Sauce. My wife loved the chowder and the roasted oyster dinner, while I enjoyed the fried shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server, Harley, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. It's been a part of the community for 29 years, which speaks volumes about its quality. I’ll definitely be coming back!"

"We were planning on eat at the food trucks at Long Wharf but due to heavy rain they all closed early. Then I found this place on map. They were busy with both walk in and call in orders. There is no place to sit so we had to order to go and bring to hotel. The portions are good, food would be crispier if we could eat right there. We had two combo boxes with fish claim stripes, shrimps calamaris. They all tasted very fresh, lightly battered and fried to golden crispy. Kids had hamburger and hot dog kids meals."

"Attention all active duty military, retirees, and vets. Do not eat at Alba?s! Also if you are in the Browns Mills area do not eat there! I was a regular customer prior to Mr. Mohammed purchasing this business. I would get the spaghetti with meat saucedinner or stromboli. On 15 Nov I ordered stromboli after 9 pm. Mr Mohammed had left for the evening and left his son in charge.When i sliced the stromboli I noticed that the dough was still uncooked on the inside. I called back and spoke to his son andexplained that the stromboli was not done. That it was ?doughy? He said he didnt understand what I meant and then said the ovenwas turned off for the night. He also stated that he would make another one well done the next time I ordered it. So I had toput it in the oven to cook longer. So I called back on 26 Nov and spoke to Mr. Mohammed and explained the situation and that Iwould be there in 30 minutes. So I get there and inform him that I called him about the stromboli. I then asked him if he wasgonna charge me. He said yes I don't give nothing for free. I explained that it wasn't done. He said if it?s a problem he?makes it right?.I told him that his son said the oven was turned off for the night. Mr Mohammed proceeds to tell me that that?snot true?the oven stays on 24 hrs. I asked him if he spoke go his son about what I informed him. His response was ?no? So I said ?so basically you are saying I?m lying?. He says no I didnt say that. Hello you insinuated it! Also, your son is a liar! As i?m trying to explain what happened, Mr. Mohammed is over talking and loud talking me. This must be the acceptable custom inEgypt to overtalk and loud talk women. Its not professional or acceptable to speak to any paying customer in this manner! Hethen had the nerve to bring up about me asking for extra sauce for my stromboli that he charged me for when he first took overthe business. "Attn: Owner Servers 1. SLOW service, it 's a hole 'n ' pub but drink refills took way too long. And took way too long to get our check. You need to be flipping tables faster to make more for staff and owner 's overhead etc. 2. Server took an assertive aggressive tone when I raised concerns about steak burger but I was cut off. He didn 't want to hear it so I didn 't press him. But it was A) rude B) Disrespect to tell me That 's exactly what you ordered. 3. Steak burger on menu says NOTHING about being covered in *GRAVY*. I 've been to +50 steak houses in my life never seen Steak Soup No one at my table knew that either. Thanks that non sense OFF the menu. 4. It 's a Cardinal *SIN ' to cover ANY good cut of beef let alone steak with ketchup or A1 sauce. Drowning it in GRAVY is something Chef Ramsey would rearrange your shirt and pepper you insults for serving such nonsense. And the gravy was terrible, loaded with salt clearly from a jar/can! Yuck! 5. Put a clear description in the menu and people can avoid Steak Soup or put black piece of tape through it. It 's Cardinal sin to put anything on good cut of beef let alone steak."
