"This is my first Google review for Portillo's, even though I've been here many times before! Portillo's is a must-visit in Chicago! Each restaurant has its own unique style, but they all share the classic diner atmosphere, complete with catchy pick-up order phrases, friendly staff, and a few long-time employees. I forgot to snap a picture of my order this time, which included a Chili Cheese Dog (I should have ordered two!), but I can't overlook their famously large frosty beer chalices—the picture really doesn't do it justice! I remember when these used to cost $3.50 (or even less) years ago, but $4 or $5 isn't bad at all. Portillo's never gets old and is always a great choice. I usually go for a Jumbo Dog, and their Plant-based Garden Dog is quite tasty too! Don't overlook their Tamales, which are underrated. From the Barnelli's menu, I always order the Chopped Salad (of course, without the Ditalini pasta). And you can't skip the Chocolate Cake—it’s a must, along with their Chocolate Cake Shake!"
