"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the Garden Patio there was a smoke from a decorative fire that was taken care of when we commented as we were seated. The food served was perfectly created and each of four different requests were thoroughly enjoyed."

"I had to go back and redo this review. Went on a Sunday around opening time. We were literally the first people in the restaurant. There were multiple servers and we were sat promptly. We ordered lunch dishes and a single appetizer, plus two beers. Appetizer took almost an hour to come out, actual food nearly 90. Beer list was wrong, took them 10 minutes to tell me what I ordered wasn't actually available. This is not an isolated incident. This place is way too expensive for this. Will not return."

"Had a wonderful meal our first time here. Our server, Garrett, was excellent. The food was delicious we started w pretzel bites and had a truffle mushroom burger and fish and chips. We had plenty to take home. And if that wasn't enough, we shared a piece of the AMAZING banana nut pie. I will def try to come back when we visit Columbus again."

"Had a reservation for 7pm on Valentines Day. We were recognized and my wife was handed a rose, we were seated immediately. Initial impression was fantastic the lights were dim and a pianist/singer with stand bass player were playing and singing soft music just wonderful ambience. After two songs it was time for their break, unfortunate timing, but ok, everyone needs a break. They came back after a bit and played some more, but before we had finished our meal (right at 8pm), they packed up and left and the restaurant turned the house lights up…. like shows over time for everyone to go home. Huh?!? Very un romantic finish to our Valentines Day meal. Food was good, for me decent filet that needed more seasoning but very tender. But the limited VDay menu (beef, chicken, pork) was difficult for my wife…. She is pescatarian (eats fish, but no meat). We were surprised to not see a salmon, mahi mahi or similar option on the menu. So she ended up eating fried fish tacos off the bar menu for an extra cost. Next question for this survey asks if I would recommend this restaurant to a friend…. And I guess my answer to that would be that there are other places I would recommend before this restaurant. And I wouldn’t necessarily discourage someone from going here, I would just help my friend lower their expectations if they did."

"The delivery driver was pleasant and thoughtful, but it seemed like the manager or owner was overwhelmed. When I called, he sounded stressed and a bit irritable. Unfortunately, it took two hours for my order to arrive. The pizza was just okay and overcooked, with a crust that was hard and difficult to chew—almost like cardboard. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to VIP."

"We have been here before but not in a long time. We were seated and there were only two table's with customer's so we expected someone to come over and take our order in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, the server was at a table and talking to them about wine. After he took their order he passed us by multiple times without greeting us or telling us he'd be with us shortly. After 15 minutes of nobody coming to the table my husband got up and said we are leaving and that is when the server came over. He was not friendly or apologetic that we had been sitting there completely ignored for so long. I asked my husband to stay and he agreed. I wish we would have left. We ordered the cheese platter which has always been a favorite of ours. There was barely any cheese on it! It had mostly cracker type items and some fruit but barely any cheese. Total disappointment with the ahi poke nachos too as they were dripping in a mayonnaise sauce that heavily coated everything. The spinach and artichoke dip was the only thing we liked. We won't be back. Maybe it's a good place for people who like to drink but as far as the food and the service goes, it's a pass for us."

"We made outdoor reservations for a Tuesday night. We were sat inside even though 90% of the outside tables were empty. Whatever not the end of the world. Our service was so extremely slow. We waited for drinks for extended periods of time. (The restaurant was very very slow so not sure why our server gave us crappy service. My crispy chicken was anything but crispy. It had a soggy breading on it and was so tough I couldn’t even cut it with a knife. Crab cakes were good. Steak pasta tasted like vomit. Chicken wings were good. $300 later we left with an eh experience…not too long after getting home we became ill with horrible food poisoning. We alerted management and they advised they would make sure from now on food was cooked properly and sent us a $50 gift card (obviously we would never use it because we’re all a little nervous) overall the atmosphere is beautiful, service not great and food was bad."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner tonight. Although we didn't have a reservation, we were lucky to get a table on the patio. The staff was attentive and incredibly friendly. We sampled several of their white wines and started with the hot crab appetizer. I ordered the pan-seared salmon while my husband had the crab cakes, and both dishes were excellent. We'll definitely make it a point to dine here again on our next visit."

"I’m a huge fan of Sam the Cooking Guy’s YouTube channel, thanks to my brother. The flatbread pizza was delicious, although the portion size felt a bit on the small side. We had just arrived in town from Nevada and were quite hungry, which might have influenced that feeling. Still, it was enjoyable! The charcuterie board was fantastic, showcasing a nice mix of creamy cheeses, salty snacks, and sweet sauces. The atmosphere was very relaxed and laid-back, which I really liked. The staff was exceptionally friendly; the bartender was attentive and welcoming, frequently checking in on us."

"a friend and I decided to give this place an attempt on the basis of the menu online, which at night before a hike. the outside has asked us whether we were at the right place, but when we went into us, we were satisfied with our decision. the waitress greeted us immediately and let us know that she was very short coworkers, but invited us to sit somewhere. we had some time to watch the menu and even if our waitress couldn't come to us immediately, she often looked after. our eating came faster than we expected and hot piercing. the fried pickles were our favorite and a very generous portion. we also ordered Bretzel-Bisse, a few blackberry-hard, which was so good, a veggie burger and a flatbread pizza. we were too ambitious with our order and could not even be half of all that, but it was delicious. we could hear some live music from the bar area and made a mental note to sit next time at the bar! highly recommended when they are in the city!"
