"Oof! This was stop on the grandview food tour. While I can respect wanting to bring Cajun food to the area this is not how to do it. My boyfriends family is from Gretna,LA (not too far from New Orleans) so I?ve been immersed into the cultural food for awhile now and this did not do it Justice. The consistency was thick like refried beans. Just wrong. They beignet was soggy. Ifyou?ve ever been to cafe dumonde in New Orleans you will be very disappointed in this one as it does not come close. The mangiving the spiel even stated The food isn?t made here, it?s made in bulk out of state and frozen then shipped in."
