"I love Burmese food and was really happy to see there 's a place fairly close to us! We ordered takeout and the food was ready pretty quickly. There were a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu which is always appreciated. They gave me a choice of lettuce, cabbage, or a combination of the 2 and I went for the cabbage. I think that 's the right choice. Mint jalapeño chicken 8/10Great portion sizes and great flavor. Ordered it medium spicy and it wasn 't spicy in any way, shape, or form. Next time we 'll try hot or extreme hot and see how that is. Fiery tofu 7/10The tofu was cooked really well and the flavor was good, but it was maybe mildly spicy at best. The dish was advertised as being spicy and we ordered the extreme hot level to guarantee the heat, but it wasn 't really there. I readily admit my spice tolerance is higher than most, so maybe their spice ratings are calibrated differently than mine are.Cucumber minted lemonade 20/10My husband ordered this and I didn 't. Immediate regret. We probably could have drank a gallon of this. Super refreshing and not too sweet!Overall a really solid local spot for authentic Burmese cooking!"

"So happy to find this great Chinese place in San Jose! I liked everything about it. Food was delicious and the portions were big, prices reasonable, interior stylish and even elegant. But what is the most rare in all middle class restaurants the service it was top notch! The servers were very dedicated and knowledgeable, plus they were wearing the uniform(! "Love Burmese food but don't have time to sit down at Burma Superstar? Have no fear, Burma Bites is here! Featuring the same key menu items that pull me back to their restaurants, both in the east bay and SF, you can't go wrong with this food to go. Make sure to try the Tea Leaf Salad, it's *amazing*! I've also quite enjoyed their Samosas, Rainbow Salad, and Popcorn Chicken. The Spicy Noodles were a bit disappointing--too sweet, too little spicy. But one dish I didn't like does not diminish how great and delicious the other food has been! Staff was sweet and friendly, but this is a takeout place so don't expect a delightful set of interactions or cozy atmosphere. That's not what you're here for, go to the restaurant if that's what you want. :"

"My 6 person family came here after UO 2023 graduation since all the restaurants close to campus were super busy. We've never been but we love thai food and found this place on Yelp. I ordered the massaman curry with tofu, which I requested vegan, and it came with rice. I ordered medium spice level and it was pretty spicy but still so delicious! It came with tofu, peanuts, carrots and potatoes in the curry and I loved the flavor of the dish. They also had lots of options they could make vegan for me! My sister got the tom kha soup, made vegetarian with tofu, and that was my favorite dish we ordered. The soup was so savory and creamy and delicious! My other family members loved their food as well, and we all had lots of leftovers.Our server was super friendly and quick. I called about availability for 6 and he set aside a table for us. When we arrived 10 minutes after the phone call, a table was already set up waiting for us with silverware and menus which we really appreciated! The ambiance is pretty casual and relaxed, with friendly staff, a large menu, and delicious food. They have a cute old-timey feeling with barstool seating and fun colors on the walls. There's lots of street parking around and it's located in downtown Springfield. The prices were cheater than other Thai restaurants I've been to in Eugene, with very comparable food. I'd recommend giving this spot a try for some amazing Thai food!"

"This is a homey Burmese restaurant with a kitschy feel. The entrance faces busy street so you'll need to find parking nearby on one of the side street which won't always be easy. Inside there is a good amount of seating for a smallish establishment. The owners also do table service, they are soft spoken and very nice and polite, though not very fast in movement. I would rate the dishes I tried to be a solid B all around... Not so good to be memorable, but nothing objectionable. Case in point is the tea leaf salad a bit bland but overall fresh and tasty. The prices are rather cheap compared to other Burmese restaurants so the food feels well worth it. One thing to keep in mind is that their curry does not come with rice, you'll have to order it separately. This is a good spot for a simple lunch if you feel a craving for Burmese, but probably not a place you'd choose to celebrate an anniversary."

"Our friends recommended this place, saying the food was really good. We were unfamiliar with Burmese food, but we decided to give it a try. Burma cafe definitely did not disappoint. They are doing some construction outside, so we weren?t sure if it was actually open. We came around 12 pm and it was decently crowded. We (2) were seated right away. Inside was cute, I appreciated the decor. We ordered the mango salad (with less chili sauce), platha and dip, house noodles, and eggplant with tofu. The mango salad was so refreshing. It was a great way to start the meal. The roti was also really good. The curry dip went amazing with it. When the noodles came out, the ingredients were all separated and the waiter came to mix it up. Pretty cool. The eggplant and tofu was so amazing. The eggplant was cooked perfectly. We were really impressed and would definitely come back again. They have a huge parking lot so parking wasn?t a hassle. The curry also looked really good and I?m sure it would go well with their fried rice or noodles."

"It is really sad to see the state of this restaurant, because it has gone down hill quite a lot since I was a regular. I used to go here twice a week and came back since I was in the area. Not only has the quantity of food been more than halved, the protein to carb ratio in the food is non existent and the prices have gone way up. And the quality is even worse than that, I got the spiciest they offer on chicken pad Thai and got a noodle dish with very little flavor or heat. We also got an order of samosas and crab Rangoons, with both being under cooked and under filled. The goons were not even fried enough for the dough to be cooked through. I know it is rough times for businesses everywhere, but at some point the quality is just too poor to look past. As it stands I can't recommend anyone get food here and I hope that they are able to turn it around."

"I appreciate the effort and always tip, but there are quite a few issues. Ordering Pad Thai at a mild heat level doesn’t mean it should lack flavor. The Pad Thai was bland and I could taste fish sauce, which shouldn’t overpower the dish. Even with mild spice, there should be plenty of garlic, but that was missing. I’ve made Pad Thai myself, and it definitely shouldn’t taste like that. You need lots of garlic without excessive heat if that’s what the customer wants. It feels like the quality has declined, probably due to frequent changes in the cooking staff. As for other dishes, the peanut sauce scored a 3 out of 10, and that’s generous—mostly for the effort. The chicken satay was disappointing, maybe a 1 out of 10, with barely any chicken, which was dry and burnt. It would be better to serve fewer, larger pieces at $7 rather than messing up the dish. The fresh spring rolls were good, but when one end is missing something, there should be another to compensate. Still, the lack of a decent peanut sauce and insufficient sweet sauce make it less enjoyable. It’s unfortunate that the peanut sauce and Pad Thai aren’t as good as they used to be."

"I can?t recommend Rangoon enough. The dishes are fresh, unique, and delicious without being overly rich, saturated, or pretentious. The space is clean and beautiful with a great atmosphere for a date or for a group of friends. We tried the tealeaf salad, onion fritters, mango and shrimp salad, cold tamarind noodles, spicy mee shay noodles, and prawn curry--all wereamazing. We also tried multiple wines, all of which were lovely and paired well with the spices in the dishes. First time eatingBurmese and I will definitely be back to try more.
