"Had a hankering for some Thai food today and decided to take out from Gin Thai Brasserie. I ordered the Pad See Ew, Low Carb Pad Thai, Steak Bites, Fresh Rolls and a Thai Iced Tea. Although we didn 't dine in, the restaurant was nice and clean. It 's on the small side, so seating could be limited around dinner time. The Fresh Roll (2pc) was filled with lots of fresh shredded veggies and a decent piece of tofu. It comes with peanut dipping sauce. They were very good and lived up to its name. All the reviews I read raved about the steak bites, so I had to try them... and I wasn 't impressed. It 's thinly sliced 'marinated ' beef, served with a citrus/chili dipping sauce. My wife and I both agree that what it lacked, was ANY flavor. Very bland. I wouldn 't order it again. My wife had the 'low carb ' Pad Thai. I didn 't have any, but she liked it and said she 'd order it again. Being low carb, there is only a very small amount of noodles, the rest of the 'bulk ' was made up of shredded veggies like cabbage, carrots and bean sprouts. Cooked like traditional Pad Thai in a familiar tasting sauce. She got it with chicken for an extra buck and there was a lot of it. I had the Pad See Ew. This is one of my favorite Thai dishes and GTB 's iteration was just as good as any other reputable Thai restaurant. Rice noodles, veggies and chicken, stir fried in a dark, sweet soy sauce. It was really good. I also had the Thai Iced Tea which, let 's be real only needed to do one thing, and that 's taste like Thai Iced Tea. It did. It was good sweet, creamy and tea y. Overall, with the exception of the disappointing steak bites, my family and I will eat at GTB again. The flavors are good and the ingredients taste fresh. The price per dish is similar to other Thai restaurants in the area and I was more than satisfied with size of all the portions. A solid 4 !"

"One of my favorite takeout spots. This spot is small, but mighty, as with most Asian restaurants. I love taking friends and dates to this place! I discovered this place when I moved to the valley 3 years ago, and it's still my go-to spot. They have all the basics down proper: pad thai, pad see ew, thai tea, chicken satay, fried fish, curries, pepper pork, papaya salad, and their mango sticky rice. I usually get all of that if I'm with my whole family or a group of 4+, but I'm basic and get the pad thai always because it's just a classic. I always love the fried fish with my whole being when I'm with family, but I can't get it when I'm just eating my myself because it's definitely a whole big fish aka family style. Also, the mango sticky rice is always on point when I get it. No matter the time of day, they seem to always have really good mangos they take right from their cashier counter to cook up. They don't tone anything down in terms of flavor (as with all Thai places, order mild to be safe and work your way up. I say this as someone who loves spice), and the staff is always very nice and even jokes around with me. I rarely have any issues with the food. And if there is, they always fix it quickly. In fact, this place love groups of 4+. If you order enough, they might like you enough to give you free mango sticky rice as a thank you. Not many Thai places do this. Parking is also quite easy. There is usually street parking and it won't be a long walk at all."

"During my visit, I found that the Thai tea ice cream was available only in a pre-packaged container for $5 for just 3 ounces, compared to the soft serve, which is $3 for 4 ounces. The texture was off—gummy in a way that I can't quite explain—and it made my child cry because I had to throw it away. Next, the steamed rice had a significant amount of browning. I understand that some browning can occur during cooking, but this was excessive. And then there was the curry. I ordered it specifically mild since I planned to share it with my young child, but when it arrived, it was far spicier than expected. I had asked for spicy oil on the side to adjust the heat for myself, but it was missing. My mother thought the spiciness rated around a 7 or 8 out of 10, while I would say it was more like a 5. Regardless, it was definitely too spicy for my child to enjoy. Additionally, I discovered that there were several vegetables in the curry that weren't listed on the menu, which I also cannot eat. The final straw came when I tried to voice my concerns. I called to request a partial refund and was only able to explain the issue with the curry before the staff member questioned whether I had ever had curry before. They initially claimed not to have added any spice, only to later say that green curry is known for being spicier. This type of dismissive and condescending response left a bad taste in my mouth. There are plenty of other Thai restaurants that offer a better experience, and I suggest seeking them out instead."
