"The cheese sticks were fantastic; they were cooked perfectly in clean oil, coming out golden brown without being overdone. The shredded BBQ pork was genuine pork, unlike the pre-packaged stuff from Lloyd's BBQ, and the barbecue sauce tasted homemade—sweet and tangy with a hint of molasses. My wife’s grilled chicken was juicy, not tough around the edges. Our waitress was excellent; she had a great personality and seemed to genuinely enjoy her job, rather than just going through the motions. Overall, we had a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in until we left. There are a couple of areas for improvement: the restaurant could use some updates to the building, and it would be beneficial for the staff to establish a system to keep an eye out for each other when heading back to the kitchen, as there were a few close calls where they nearly bumped into one another."

"I orded a Mother's Day take out dinner because my mother is homebound and cannot go out to restaurants to dine. The order was placed on their website two days in advance and would be delivered via Door Dash around 5:40 pm on Mother's Day. At 5:30 pm, I received a phone call from the Door Dash driver telling me the restaurant notified her they were not filling any orders via Door Dash or Urber Eats because they were too busy on Mother's Day. So at the 11th hour, we had no Mother's Day dinner and had to scramble to find a replacement. While it is understandable that they were not able to fill take out orders on due to their high volume on Mother's Day, it would have been nice if Shenandoah had put something on their website to let patrons know this would be the case. Thanks for ruining Mother's Day Shenandoah. I won't ever bring my business to your restaurant again."

"In September 2017, I also visited Brookes Restaurant Lounge on Hancock Bridge in North Fort Myers, Florida. I decided to try the Cajun fish and black beans. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned with Cajun spices, but it lacked the level of spiciness I was hoping for. The black beans had a tasty hint of salsa, but needed additional hot sauce for my liking. The service was excellent and the portion of fish was surprisingly large. On another visit, I tried the Cajun fried fish sandwich, which was a Saturday lunch special. The fillet was so large it could have made two sandwiches. While it wasn't as spicy as expected, it was still very delicious and fried to perfection. The tartar sauce was okay and the coleslaw was average. I had the option of regular fries, fresh Amijo potato chips, or waffles on the side. Overall, it was the best fish sandwich I've had in the past four years. The waitress and other employees provided great service and I look forward to trying other dishes at Brookes in the future."

"Kim 's Cafe 2 is my new favorite go-to place for breakfast and lunch. My experience started with an amazing bubbly waitress named Sparkles, with a personality that matches. She and her co-worker provided top quality service that created a warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of choices that will make your mouth water. The food was ready quickly and came out piping hot and cooked to perfection. As low as the prices are, I was expecting less then fast food sized portions but was I WRONG! They were HUGE! My group ordered a variety of dishes including the Mushroom Swiss Burger, Shrimp Platter, Spanish omelet, Club Sandwich, Blueberry pancakes, chili, and more. The burgers, for lack of a better term, was over half the size of our heads, colossal is an understatement for the shrimp, the pancakes were the size of a standard size dinner plate, and I can 't even begin to describe the taste other than perfection ! I don 't usually write this much in a review, but to leave anything out would be an unjustice to this down home restaurant that is DEFINITELY a cut above the rest. I HIGHLY recommend Kim 's Cafe ll to anyone who wants fantastic service, great food, and best of all, still have money left in your pocket."

"We had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The hamburger was so tough that we couldn’t even eat it. There was blood on the plate from the chicken. We sent it back and opted for the country fried steak, but it didn't meet our expectations either. We also tried a meatloaf sandwich as a replacement for the hamburger, and it was equally unsatisfactory. Our family has decided that we will never return. We paid the $50 bill and left feeling very unhappy."

"I don 't give 5 star ratings very often. Especially based on just one visit. After a night at the Quality Inn down the road the front desk people recommended this place. We were first ones there. The glowing heat lamps from the buffet table highlighted the steam rolling up from under the food pans, a welcoming sight. We were greeted by a very nice young lady. We decided on the buffet, of course. OMG!!! The scrambled eggs were so light and fluffy. When the chef/cook/owner? brought more out I had to ask what he did to make them so fluffy. I 'll let you ask when you go, you 'll be surprised. The CHEESE GRITS!!!! Like a dummy I didn 't ask him what he did to make them the best cheese grits I 've ever eaten in my life. Now, I 'm a good 'ol southern gal and I know grits, been makin ' them and eatin ' them my whole life. These are the best ever. I think I 'm gonna have to make a call and ask what he does to them so dog gone good. The restaurant is the cleanest I 've seen in years! Even the restroom!!! Clean, delicious and friendly people. Food at VERY reasonable prices. One gentleman came in, took a large sectioned styrofoam container and filled the two smaller compartments with grits and the larger section with biscuits and sausage gravy. I didn 't try the sausage gravy, but from the size of his helping they must be really good. This restaurant deserves the Excellent rating. I hope you have the same excellent experience."

"We enjoyed a wonderful dinner to celebrate my birthday. There was no rush, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The cocktails were generous, and Toni provided excellent service. The food was very good, and we particularly loved the wedge salad. The rustic ambiance added to our experience, allowing for easy conversation across the table.
