"My experience was amazing at Cocina Candela. We made reservations online which was super convenient. We were given bread with a delicious herb-garlic butter compote that was devine. We started with the sorullos de maíz stuffed with cheese and the bacalaitos. Plated beautifully and tasted even better. My wife had the shrimp mofongo and I had the Arroz con gandules with pernil. The rice had the smoked ham just like my mom does it. Every bite brought me home. I’m a Jersey native, but Morovis Puerto Rico runs through my veins. Muchas bendiciones Candela. "Was so good! I ordered the shrimp soup,Red snapper which was so amazing. You cannot go wrong with red snapper is always good. It was perfectly crispy and I enjoyed the red onions and greens sauce on top of my snapper. The shrimp mofongo was also really made well and moist. I appreciate that it was moist because that is important when eating Mofongo. Service was good and fast. Only thing was that this place is pretty pricey. I got the food to go because I wanted a quick, good meal. It’s def worth it because the quality is good. It’s just that this is a nice sit down restaurant with great ambiance. Not a take your food and go type of spot. Location is convenient as well with more than enough parking. It sits in a shopping center."
