"I have to say, I really wanted to like this place. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because of the server. It 's a small cool spot, but my first indication of not-authentic , should 've been it says on Yelp, Japanese and Thai. Also, the spot does not have a Thai feel or a Japanese feel. I believe when you do fusion , that means you have perfected both dishes and brought them together. Here, they need to stick to one or the other, but then again, neither were memorable. Having traveled to Thailand and eating in Queens, the capital of Asian cuisine, neither the Japanese or the Thai side was impressive. The sushi was not fresh at all and you can tell by looking at it and the sushi cuts were amateurish. For apps, we had steamed shumai, and it was just okay. A little too big for our liking and seemed like they were frozen then warmed up. They gave us complimentary veggie rolls, a nice touch, but the veggie is mushy on the inside. We ordered the sushi morí that had 6 pieces of sushi (chef 's choice) and spicy tuna roll. The toll was not spicy at all. The sesame seeds were not needed on the rolls and they should state that on the menu that sesame seeds come on them. We also ordered the Garlic duck that came with white rice. I don 't know what to say. The few pieces of duck laid on a pile of cabbage, carrots and broccoli for $27. I noticed people ordering the pad Thai. We should 've ordered that and stayed simple. But we look for good authentic, special dishes that people wouldn 't normally order. The best part of the meal was the Thai Singha beer. What a disappointment."
