"This has always been one of our favorite dining spots, but unfortunately, our visit last night was a disappointment. As always, our drinks were excellent, but the food fell short of our expectations. We ordered our usual Greek and Grain salad, but this time the lettuce was yellow and wilted. Instead of fresh greens, we received chopped lettuce hearts that looked past their prime. I ended up eating only the toppings and pushing the lettuce aside, while my wife chose to return hers and order a sandwich instead. The staff tried to make things right, but the real issue is that such a dish was served in the first place. We even asked if there was fresher lettuce available in the kitchen to remake the salad, but we were told that all the lettuce was in the same condition—unacceptable. Our server, O'Brien, was aware of the problem right away when we mentioned our dissatisfaction. "It's the lettuce, isn't it?" he said, showing his understanding of the situation. He provided outstanding service throughout our meal, and along with the delicious cocktails, he was the bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience."
