"The food at Manila Sunset is absolutely amazing. It’s always freshly cooked and perfectly prepared! You can watch as your meal is made through a glass window, which is really comforting. The staff is very friendly, too. I appreciate how they serve the food on paper plates lined with banana leaves; it gives a lovely Filipino vibe while making cleanup effortless.
Filipino families often enjoy a diverse selection of dishes here, such as goto (porridge), pancit malabon, beef tapa, chicken barbecue, and bibingka—each one is a must-try! I like to add a sunny side-up egg to the beef tapa and chicken barbecue for an extra treat.
And let me stress: YOU HAVE TO TRY THE BIBINGKA. Honestly, it’s like a buttery sponge cake topped with sugar and coconut—it’s unbelievably good! I usually put mine in a toaster oven for about 10 minutes to get the top a bit crispy and the inside warm. A box of bibingka assures you’ll have leftovers, which make for perfect snacks after meals or even breakfast.
Do keep in mind that this place can get quite busy, so you might have to wait for a table or your food. It's been around for quite a while, and I believe it will continue to be a favorite for many more years. I highly recommend it!"
