"I believe the staff must have been having a off night. The host gave us a second rate table and when I asked to have one of the banquettes instead, I was told they were reserved for other guests they remained empty all evening (I was among the last to leave the restaurant). It took about 15 minutes after sitting down before anyone came to take a drinks order; then it took another 15 or more minutes to receive the drinks. I had to ask for water four times before anyone brought it. The neighboring table said they had much the same experience, and finally I had to tell our waitress that she needed to up the game or else my dinner companion and I were going to leave. I tried to complain to the host at the end of the evening, but was unable to do so because he already had left the restaurant before the last diners did. I have dined here several times before without any problem, so again I suspect the staff was having an off night."

"The service at this restaurant was incompetent and nearly non-existent. We were saved by the hostess who, despite being overwhelmed with other tasks, did her best to take care of us. Without her, we might still be waiting for our food. Overall, the quality of the food was acceptable, but the oysters were small and too expensive."
