"Be cautious with take-out orders! My family has been loyal customers of Samauri for 15 years, dining there once a week consistently. Despite challenges such as the pandemic, staffing issues, long waits, and price increases, we continued to support the restaurant. However, during our most recent visit, I noticed that our bill was higher than usual (we always order the same dish). Upon requesting an itemized receipt, I discovered a $10.40 charge for takeout. When inquiring about the charge, we were informed that it was for the paper containers. This seemed unreasonable to me, as the cost of a paper container is minimal. As a loyal customer, I am willing to overlook certain inconveniences, but this was a step too far. Sadly, we will not be returning to Samauri and I will no longer recommend them. Price gouging is never acceptable."
