"I awarded one star for the exceptional service provided by our waitress. Unfortunately, the remaining four stars were not earned due to subpar service, atmosphere, and food quality. We arrived at 4:10 on 1/7/25 and were the first patrons. Fifteen minutes later, a couple arrived, who appeared to be the cook's family. The cook greeted them and engaged in conversation about preparing gluten-free wings for her nephew. Our food took nearly an hour to arrive, while the cook's family received theirs 15 minutes prior. My New York strip steak arrived at 5:10 and was cold, accompanied by undercooked vegetables and a cold asparagus dip appetizer. I ordered my steak well-done, but it was still bloody. I was unable to finish it. Notably, the cook's family also ordered steak, which was prepared significantly faster than mine, despite ordering 15 minutes after us. It appears the cook prioritized her family's meal. While it would have been reasonable to request a replacement, after waiting an hour in a drafty window seat, I instead chose to leave. The cook, a woman in her 40s with rosy cheeks, seemed to focus on her family's dining experience instead of ours."
