"Between us, we ordered two poutines, four burgers, and a grilled cheese sandwich. My husband and I shared a small order of the classic poutine. This dish can easily go wrong if the gravy isn't homemade or if the fries aren't crispy, but they’ve really perfected it here! The homemade gravy is delicious, and the fries were cooked perfectly before the gravy was added.
The burger patties are also homemade, packed with flavor from the grill. Our friends enjoyed their hamburgers as well, calling them excellent. They ordered a large serving of the cattlemen’s poutine, which is the restaurant's signature dish. Let me tell you, the large order fills a dinner plate-sized Styrofoam container—it's a massive portion! While I haven't had poutine in Canada, I imagine any Canadian would be pleased with the poutine served here.
We also decided to treat ourselves to dessert: two servings of banana pudding, a cup of "dirt" topped with gummy worms, and two slices of homemade cheesecake. The cheesecake is a no-bake variety, but I'd definitely prefer a homemade no-bake cheesecake to one that comes from a food service truck. I really appreciate the effort that goes into homemade desserts.
