"Baeautiful Florida Keys is a place we often visit and enjoy. However, our recent experience left much to be desired at the First Flight restaurant. Despite it being a quiet evening off season, the bartenders seemed more interested in a tennis game on the TV than attending to customers. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes, we were finally able to place our order.Opting for the $30+ roast pork with MOJO, a dish I frequently indulge in as a proud Floridian, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, what arrived at our table could hardly be considered roast pork. Instead, it appeared to be chunks of a pork chop haphazardly sliced and placed on a bed of yellow rice. The meat was dry and tasted reminiscent of freezer burn, far from the succulent and flavorful roast pork I had anticipated.To make matters worse, the black beans served alongside the disappointing pork were nothing more than canned black beans, complete with the unappetizing can juice. The milky substance surrounding the beans was truly off-putting and diminished the overall quality of the dish. With subpar food and distracted service, we found ourselves yearning for better dining options. Thus, we sadly conclude that it is best to move on and explore other establishments in the area."
