"A question was raised on this app asking if this place is divey. I won't answer that because this is Wisconsin, a bar that embraces NASCAR and Harley Davidsons. What The Next Place truly is, is an outstanding spot to enjoy a burger. They offer over 100 different combinations and options for you to explore before making your choice. Come hungry, or you might end up taking some leftovers home. I highly recommend the homemade chips, although the fries looked delicious as well. This time, we had The Jackhammer, which is a double burger. The best way to tackle it was for my wife to remove one of the patties, put it on a plate with some of the toppings, while I enjoyed my half with the bun—ultimately, we were both stuffed. I noticed a sign above the bar indicating that the place is for sale due to the owner's health issues. It's unfortunate because I truly hope someone passionate will take over and keep the tradition of amazing burgers alive—it’s a real gem for the Bloomer area. It’s definitely worth the trip from Eau Claire!"
