"Normally we enjoy Beach Tavern, but tonight was way off- from staff, to mediocre food and even a bug. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold; when I asked for it to be warmer our server told me there was nothing that could be done, and the door was already open The air conditioner was on, so there is definitely something that could have been done. As far as the food, the little neck raw clams were excellent and shucked properly. Chopped salad and coconut shrimp sushi was fair- nothing special nor memorable about either; but nothing bad either. The restaurant was well staffed but our server was not attentive nor helpful. Sadly, towards the end of the meal, I found a bug in my glass of water and asked the waiter to take the glass away. When I pointed out the bug to him, there was no apology or concern given. All-in-all, Beach Tavern was always a solid option for me; I will think again before I return and when/if I do I will definitely bring a scarf and/or a jacket because wearing a sweater indoors on a 70 degree night did not suffice."
