"I’m visiting from Arizona and have been here for about four months now. After much deliberation, I finally decided to try some Mexican food, unsure if I would find anything worthwhile. While driving by, I spontaneously decided to stop and grab a bite. Upon entering, I noticed there was only one other customer at around 5 PM, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I was seated quickly and asked what I would like to drink—I went for the horchata. A few minutes later, the waiter returned not with a standard drink but with a mini pitcher, which was a pleasant surprise! Soon after, I was served some chips and salsa that were absolutely perfect while I waited for my meal. I ordered the Churrasco based on the waiter’s recommendation, along with tacos de al pastor and lengua. After around 6-10 minutes, the food arrived. The portion of the Churrasco was just what I expected (a decent serving), but I was pleasantly surprised by the generous size of the tacos—definitely not skimping on portions here! About half an hour into my meal, the place had filled up completely. I managed to finish nearly everything, and even though I was very full, I still wanted to keep snacking on the chips and salsa. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican cuisine. The food speaks for itself, as does the crowd it attracts. In summary: The food is delicious, the portions are generous, the vibe is casual, and the prices are very reasonable."

"My husband and I tried this place because of some good reviews. This place is proof positive that reviews don’t mean everything. First of all, it was in a rather seedy section of town. Was difficult to find parking and had to park on side of street. Then when I got out of the car I looked down and there was an open pocketknife lying on the sidewalk. This should have been an indication that things weren’t going to go well. We got inside and the atmosphere of the whole place is rather gloomy and seedy. We tried to overlook that, because of the reviews on the food. We got chips and salsa first, which were average at best. I’ve had way better at other places. Then we ordered our food. My husband got a chicken chimichanga with rice and beans. I ordered an enchilada with rice and beans. Even though there were only about four customers there it took over 20 minutes to get our food. My husband said the chicken in his chimichanga had no flavor. My enchilada had a slightly odd taste to it but I chalked it up to maybe my tastebuds being off that night. The beans were watery and the rice was sticky and had no flavor. Was the worst Mexican food I had eaten in awhile. To top things off… later that night I started to get sick and now have full blown food poisoning. I have never had food poisoning before…until now. We will not return to this place and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. I do not understand how they get good reviews, because the food is not good. There are better places to go. Would have given them O stars if I could have."
