"**Short Version:** You can't go wrong with delicious family-style cooking, and the prices here take you back to when dining out was affordable and enjoyable every day. They also had charming homemade jellies! I stopped by for lunch after spending the morning at the shooting range, and I wish I lived nearby so I could visit more often. The service was attentive, friendly, and prompt. The waitress recommended the biscuits and gravy, so I had to try the chicken fried steak. It was fantastic—creamy, thick gravy that wasn’t overly salty, served over crispy, well-cooked CFS. I couldn't resist the chopped steak (hamburger steak) topped with grilled onions, hash browns, and two eggs, all drenched in brown gravy—just as I hoped! Naturally, I also ordered a side of corned beef hash, which I was pleased to find perfectly prepared with no large chunks of potatoes or meat, and fried to a delightful crunch. My companions, who are vegetarians, enjoyed onion rings, fried zucchini, and salad. I will definitely be adding this place to my "must-visit" list for when I'm in the area."
