"Wow! I used to live just down the street from (the old) El Sombrero before its current owner, Junior, took over and let me tell you this classic LES Mexican joint has had an amazing new breath of life given to it. First off, the decor and ambiance are spot on its light, breezy and fun, with wrap around windows, high ceilings and up beat Latin/island style music playing at just the right volume. It 's great for groups. While they no longer offer the old off menu 'Margarita to go ' (apparently a not so well kept local secret), their new menu is completely revamped with innovative dishes influenced by cultures all across Latin America, as well as the staple re styled Mexican favorites you 'd expect. If you haven 't tried their frozen mojito change that. But more importantly, if you haven 't tried the new El Sombrero get down there and change that as well. ¡Salud!"
