"Finally made it to the Raven for Jersey Shore Rest. Week. This is almost an hour drive for me but it was very worth it. After being so intrigued by their menu online I knows his was the place I wanted to try for restaurant week this fall. My guy and I snagged a last minute res for a friday at 6. I called to make my res and the woman took her time to find me an accommodating table (on a Thursday evening when spots were almost filled) and got me in for 6 instead of 5. Great customer service. We arrived and we're pleasantly surprised to find a pretty empty place. Guess it was good to have an early dinner. We were seated at a small table close to the bar, an intimate space which I was ok with since it was nearly empty. I ordered a white wine which took a little longer han expected to arrive. We chose to do the pre fix for $35. I started with coco shrimp which were decent but average and strangely came atop Thai noodles. My guy tried the butternut squash soup which he loved. The presentation was in a 12 bowl with a 4 small bowl opening. Nice modern design! For entrees I chose the salmon hollandaise which is solely a 5 star meal! The salmon portion was large and cooked perfectly. Cracking the yolk on top for the flavorful potatoes and salmon allowed the perfect richness to this dish. 10/10 recommend. I was so in love with my dish I did not taste much of my guys meal but he highly recommended it. He chose a chicken dish with sweet potato hash with pancetta and Brüssel sprouts. All I can say is that our dishes were cleaned! I had the fruit crumble for dessert topped with vanilla gelato which I liked but did not love because the cranberries were not soft enough and far too bitter for the dish. My guy picked the winner of a Blondie brownie topped with vanilla gelato and fresh berries. Live piano began during dessert and it made for an amazing environment. All in all I loved the main courses and would come Back for those solely. Hope to return for the next restaurant week"
