"Absolutely DESPICABLE customer service. The waitress was the absolute rudest I have EVER encountered. I dine out very often. This is the WORST customer experience I ever experienced in a restaurant. We asked if we can order a Greek family platter for 4. The waitress acted like she didn’t understand what I was saying. Then, she says we have to order more food. First of all, you cannot demand customers that they have to order more. We had 3 kids 6 and under with us who don’t eat that much. Second, she said “Look at me” while she was explaining that we had to order more. Telling a customer “look at me” while I was clearly already listening and paying attention while looking at the menu is RUDE and disrespectful and aggressive. Also, when she gave me a bowl that I asked for, she literally just stands there holding the bowl out while I was busy feeding my son. No words, nothing. Just standing there with the bowl reached out. My back was turned so I didn’t even see her. That is VERY rude mannerisms and disrespectful. She also came back at the end and said if we needed to pack food away to take home while we were still eating. Another waiter gave me a very judgmental expression when she asked if I wanted to pack my kids’ meal home and I said no. She said your kids will have nothing to eat tomorrow. Wow. Never coming back here. The workers need to learn how to speak to their customers. It is NOT okay. Completely soured our dinner. Wish I had picked somewhere else."

"My co-workers and I recently went to lunch at Christy's in Coral Gables. Christy's is a Coral Gables institution. Its decor is classic steak house with deep red walls, white table linens and waiters in tuxedo at noon. Martini's seem to be the drink of choice and the Caesar salad is legendary. Although Christy's reputation as a fine steak house precedes it, what initially drew us was their participation in the Miami Spice program. During the months of August and September, participating restaurants offer a fixed three course menu for $20.00 for lunch and $30.00 for dinner (quite a bargain at Christy's). Of course, we all hoped that the fillet mignon would be on the menu and were a bit disappointed to find fillet tips instead. To be fair, the Caesar salad was, as always, excellent, albeit a smaller portion than I remembered from previous visits, however the steak tips were covered in a bland brown sauce that was just OK. The key lime pie was also good, but far from great. I have been to Christy's several times and, aside from the Caesar salad and the martinis, the food is consistently very good, but not great. Although some of the steaks are noteworthy, most are common fair. Nonetheless, the service is usually excellent, however on this visit one of my co-workers brought her beautiful and extraordinarily well behaved daughter to lunch. Since she is just a little girl, Rose was not munch interested in Christy's culinary offerings and requested some ice cream (chocolate and vanilla). Unfortunately, we were forced to request the ice cream several times (much to Rose's dismay) before our waiter finally delivered strawberry. It took us another several times before he finally brought the correct flavors. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident as he also disappeared as we were ready to pay the bill. Regardless, Christy's is really quite good and I would generally recommend it (particularly for a power lunch or a special occasions as their baked Alaska is great) especially for the price."
