"It’s October and you know what that means….. OKTOBERFEST!!This German girl loves her German food and takes full advantage this time of year! I saw an ad in the Bronx Times for P.J Bradys with a special Oktoberfest menu that had me salivating and I had to go! This place is a neighborhood restaurant and bar established in 1998 and is a local favorite. Their windows are all painted for fall with a colorful autumn theme and you hear the laughter and singing from the street! The atmosphere was very cool with a fun group at the bar singing all my favorite songs from Mama Mia and the 70’s-80’s. Our server Katherine was great and took very good care of us from beginning to end with accommodating special requests and suggestions. I like my Oktoberfest beer this time of year and they had a great one by Shipyard called Pumpkin head, they kindly rimmed a glass with honey and cinnamon and I was happy. We started out ordering their popular chicken wings with Blue cheese and ranch dip which were very good! My Oktoberfest special of Jager schnitzel came with red cabbage and Spätzle but I traded the Spätzle for the potato pancakes with apple sauce which was no problem. It also came with a home style chicken and veggie soup that was like moms with tons of chunks of chicken and savory soup. My german cuisine was a huge platter of food that was excellent! It brought me back to my childhood! We also ordered a roast beef with cheese on a roll which was so good with just right crispy French fries! I was going to order their pumpkin cheesecake but they were out due to its popularity, so I will have to go back again! ? Stop in this month to enjoy a full Oktoberfest menu including pot roast, Hungarian beef goulash, Wienerschnitzel, Jager schnitzel, bratwurst and more! Special shout out to my friend who works there too, Katie Angel! "

"When me and my daughter first arrived at the restaurant the outside looked promising. Once we stepped inside it went downhill fast from there. The lighting in the place is very bad. It was so bad we had to use the flash on our phone to read the menu. We got the usual chips and salsa. Nothing special about them. Salsa tasted like cheap tomato sauce from the can. The waitress that took our order and brought our food had no mask this is in the middle of a mask mandate 11/21. To make things worse no one except one person had on a mask that worked there. When I asked why she didn’t have one on she simply replied “ oh it’s our decision to wear it or not. “ wow! Once we received our food we had to get up and ask for salsa. You know the traditional rojo or verde. The head hosted gave me so much attitude and scoffed like he couldn’t believe I had bothered him all while rolling his eyes and head. Then he tells me “oh you do t have any salsa left from your chips?” At this point I just wanted to eat and leave. The enchiladas were medium warm. I ordered the cheese which was not melted and thick still. Everything had a bland taste. The guacamole was bland and needed salt even my 10 year old daughter beat me to the punch. This is by far one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. I could’ve done better at home. Will never waste my money at this hole in the wall again."
