"This is the best Chinese food place in Waterbury. I for one don't generally like Chinese food but my boyfriend does. About a month ago, he wanted Chinese food and no one was open except for this place so we gave it a go and I'm so glad we did. Now when neither of us feel like cooking and want something cheap, this is the place. Even I'll ask my boyfriend if he wants to get Chinese food as long as it's from Sun Kee. Their ribs are amazing and HUGE. Everything I've had from them has been good. I'm currently eating salt pepper shrimp and it's the best I've ever had. Definitely recommend this gem!"

"I have dined at this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed a satisfying meal at a reasonable price. The service is good and if you enjoy classic New England-style Americanized-Chinese dishes, this is one of the best places to go. I highly recommend trying the egg rolls, pork strips, shrimp fried rice, vegetable lo mein, and shrimp with lobster sauce. If you prefer to share a variety of appetizers, the pu-pu platter is excellent. The dine-in service is also excellent."

"This is one of my favorite Chinese food places near our house.  The food is always fresh, tasty and a great price.  I order it to go mostly.  They do not deliver, which is the only thing I don’t like about this place.  Yet the food is good enough to get me off my lazy bum to pick it up.  I ordered the large shrimp lo mein this go around and a large wonton soup.  I intended to share this meal with my husband.  I ate about a 1/3 of the lo mein and it was amazing!  Fresh and very flavorful with large shrimp.  I almost ordered the shrimp fried rice (my husband’s favorite) but it tends to have a ton of onions in it and he hates onions.  I always feel a jerk asking for no onions in fried rice."

"First of all, the restaurant layout is unexpectedly weird. You go in and the first sight is the kitchen, storage shelves for containers and restaurant supplies, and then the cashier. You can see the staff preparing vegetables next to your table. It'slike they extend the kitchen and storage room into the dining area. The outdoor dining area will be better if you don't careabout the dust, wind and sun shine. Waitresses can speak Cantonese and Mandarin. Overall tastes are good. Foods were servedfast. We recommend this place and we'll go back again."

"I dined at this restaurant with my son and sister, and we ordered two edamame appetizers, two gyoza dumplings, three different ramen bowls, and a mochi dessert, all for a little over $70. I was glad that paying in cash allowed us to avoid an additional $7 fee. Overall, the experience was fantastic—no complaints at all! Our server was outstanding, efficiently handling all the tables on her own. She regularly checked in on us for water refills and made sure we were enjoying our meal, which I really appreciated. The food was amazing as well! We will definitely be coming back soon!"

"The food is decent, but there's a significant issue with their attention to customer requests. I order through the Uber Eats app and consistently ask for extra ketchup and hot sauce on my fries. However, it seems they either don't pay attention or don't care about my preference. I'm paying for my meal, so it should come the way I like it. It feels like they either can't read my requests or are just not being attentive. The service is quite frustrating; it seems they want to prepare the food how they see fit, rather than how I prefer it."

However, I decided to try this restaurant after seeing it on DoorDash, and I was pleasantly surprised. The packaging was excellent—a solid 5 stars right away. Each item was securely sealed in carton containers, and the food remained very hot, which deserves more than 5 stars! I was especially impressed with the container for my iced tea; there were no leaks or drips at all. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family!"

"I ordered boneless spare rib tips, I asked them to make sure it was well done with extra sauce on it. When the food arrived it was dry and rubbery, without the extra sauce I asked for When I called them to tell them the woman on the phone proceeded to tell me the meat is already cooked they just reheat it and fry it in the sauce. Usually this place has good food but the last couple of tikes ordering the food quality has went down significantly. Would not recommend."

"I love Asian cuisine and I eat every where. I've had Harold's and Asia gourmet. Those are all phenomenal places to eat- but maaaaaan, this china king here was just as great as the others mentioned. They even have honey chicken like on the east coast! Had the shrimp fried rice and everything was cooked to order and the rice was perfect. Little girl calling the orders out was adorable and super polite. Every person in the back was working super hard and pushed out the food on time. Crazy efficient.
