"The food arrived quickly, steaming hot and bursting with flavor. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. One thing I found interesting was that they served hush puppies with various dipping sauces when you’re seated. Instead of the typical round shapes, these hush puppies were shaped like mozzarella sticks, which initially confused me until my son explained it. They were quite tasty, especially since they weren’t overly doughy like the usual kind can be.
I ordered the catfish, jumbo shrimp, and oyster platter, all fried. The catfish was very flavorful and delicious. I’m not a big oyster fan, but I did try two of them, and surprisingly, they were quite good. The jumbo shrimp was outstanding, but then again, I really love shrimp! I didn’t get around to trying the desserts, which included cobblers, bread pudding, and ice cream, but I hope to taste those on my next visit. I was stuffed and ended up taking a lot of food home.
Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere, and I definitely plan to return."
