"The pork tosilog came with a side of green mango salsa. About one-third of the dish was fatty, which was expected, though I personally prefer it to be leaner. The tapsilog was tender and had a slightly more sour flavor than usual, which meant I didn't need to add much vinegar. The arroz caldo featured a lovely ginger-infused chicken broth-based porridge with a whole hard-boiled egg. The bulalo was bursting with flavor, packed with meat, vegetables, and broth. The lumpia Shanghai was incredibly fresh—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a far cry from the frozen versions that can be tough and dry.
Unfortunately, they didn't have halo halo available. The flan, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing. It had a strange granulated surface that seemed like it should have been caramelized, and while it was thick and smooth, it lacked that velvety creaminess I was hoping for. The Keurig coffee was flat, dark, and rather bland.
Overall, it was a quick, easy bite and quite satisfying, though I missed some of our go-to favorites like pork sisig, turon, and melon. Perhaps they will have those available in the warmer months? It's mid-April now."
