"I absolutely love, love, love, looove the Catfish Cafe. I called a little before 2:30AM this morning, Monday, April 19, 2021 and placed an order for catfish with mac and cheese and yams. First, the customer service was superb. The young lady who answered the phone and helped me was just so nice. Now on to the food which was just incredible. I hadn't been to the Catfish Cafe in a few years and I'm telling you that the food has gotten even better since the last time I was there (if that's even possible! . The mac and cheese was the bomb. The catfish was perfectly seasoned. The yams were perfectly cooked not too sweet, just right. One of the most important things in this review I'm writing is that even with me placing an order a little before 2:30AM (just a little before they were about to close , the food was still superb. As a customer calling in at 2:30AM, they treated me as if I had called at 2:30PM. The food was the same. The food wasn't end of the night tasting, meaning it's cold and poorly presented. The food was so amazingly delicious. I was so happy about the food, the customer service, and the friendliness and kindness of the staff. I even called them right after I left from picking up my food to tell them how happy I was. Thank you Catfish Cafe fam, you guys are amazing! And to the person reading this review, thank you for taking the time to read it all the way through. You won't be disappointed with the Catfish Cafe. Happy eating!"

"we have eaten many times here in the course of the years and I will finally give a review. we started with the coconut wars and snuggle on the half shell. both were great and the muddles were really fresh with a strong horse stable. next we had both the spicy buffalo scallop salat, something I enjoyed here since I had it over 15 years ago. the only knock was that it was easy over dressed with the balsamico dressing. the scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious. to dinner, yes we ordered about what we tend here, we had the filled scallops with a lobster risotto and the Scottish salmon. the salmon was perfectly boiled, moist and crumble with a crispy potato crust. the scallops were perfectly cooked and the risotto was absolutely delicious. Yes, we had rest to take home, but we can't help if we order here. there is a reason why we have been patrons for years, eating is not only fresh, but perfectly cooked. the service was great and we had no problems at all. we are going to go on."

"I been going to pizza parlor forever since they opened on south shore with my girlfriend. I was happy when I heard they were opening up one on North shore near my house because I live on Ada drive..Honestly the food is just as amazing as their other store, the staff is great, the manager is a nice guy and the owner has always been good to my girlfriend and I, we order almost every Thursday night and sometimes Saturday night when she comes over by me (not as fun for me ordering anymore cause of diet but I still enjoy their potato eggs and grilled chicken lol).. Definitely a way better replacement to any other local pizzerias in the area"

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."

When I told The waitress it wasn’t what I ordered she told me I was wrong and that the breakfast I ordered came with French toast and not waffle and that those 4 potatoes are breakfast potatoes "

"My experience at this restaurant was just okay. However, it seems like every time I go in to grab a slice, they don't really want my business. Tonight, I ordered one buffalo slice, one cheese slice, and one BBQ chicken slice. First of all, the place is far too smoky to comfortably eat in. After finishing my buffalo slice, I went to the counter to let the cashier know what I had ordered. They charged me $23.66 and had the audacity to give me the other slices in a paper bag. When I asked for a box, they didn't even put the buffalo slice in there. This really frustrated me because when I got home, I realized I paid for four slices but only received three. You really need to improve employee training, as this service is unacceptable. It was never like this before the larger location opened—back then, you always got what you paid for!"

"Yummers! With a capital Y! I ordered the wedge salad, along with steamed shrimp to be delivered at my house yesterday. Both were superb and really hit the spot! Big Oyster Brewerys wedge salad is one of the best in the area. It is HUGE! It is smothered with tomatoes, sliced hard boiled egg, bacon, pickled red onions (delicious), blue cheese crumbles, and their homemade blue cheese dressing. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered TWO today... one for lunch and one for dinner. Perfect meals for when youre on the Keto diet. Kudos BOB on an excellent job with this one. Thanks for not skimping. I highly recommend!"

"Went to Boyz before a show at the Rome Capitol Theater. Made reservations for table of 8. The place was full, mostly from people going to the show. There were 15 tables and one waitress! She did an excellent job. Our food came out quickly, she refilled our drinks. And not one mistake. Food was very good. Chicken Riggies were some of the best I ever had! Definitely will be back!"

"I ordered salmon, and it was completely raw inside. The accompanying vegetables consisted of just one slice of squash and two slices of zucchini. We also noticed that our breadstick was missing, and the salad served to us was old, unwashed, and clearly rotting, as shown in the attached photos. After waiting nearly an hour for our order, it took the waitress 35 minutes to check on our meals, during which time we discovered the mold and raw food. When we brought it to her attention, we received no support from the manager or owner; they did nothing to rectify the situation. We decided to leave the restaurant without paying the bill, as they seemed to expect us to wait another hour for a replacement meal. Overall, the food was absolutely disgusting—old, rotten, and undercooked, posing a major health risk. The service was also incredibly poor, and despite our attempts to be polite about the situation, we were treated rudely. We will not be returning."

"The raw oysters were outstanding, earning a solid five stars for their freshness and delicious flavor, with no broken shells in sight. We ordered a “baker's dozen,” and they were fantastic. However, the rest of the meal did not meet those high standards. The fried shrimp arrived at room temperature, were overcooked, and quite tough. The potato salad was perfect and a highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the crab cake was lacking in seasoning and had an overpowering garlic flavor, plus it was only slightly warm. The sweet potato fries were also served at room temperature. We were seated outside, which didn’t help since the weather was cool. On a positive note, our server was attentive and did a great job. We debated sending the meal back but ultimately chose not to, as we didn’t want to wait for a replacement. Overall, it was a mixed experience."

"I have been a customer of this place for 5 years, seen lots of staff come and go, this current bunch of staff along with current bar manager Jenn are rude, nasty and changes the rules with every customer, as if it depends on if she/they personally likes the customer. I have heard the manager several times talk to customers about other customers sitting right there at the bar, I have seen the manager Jenn being rude nasty to customers simply because she personally does not like them, I've heard her label customers as problem customers to her staff and other customers sitting at the bar. This kind of behavior should not be allowed, its very unprofessional and it makes customers uncomfortable when the Manager is having issues with simple things, like a box big enough for their left over food to take home, asking for a different glass after drinking their beer so the their beer is in a cold glass, and talking about other customers. I wont list everything because the list of just to long. Game changers use to be a great neighbor bar, the owners are great, the regular customers are good people, the food is top notch for local watering hole, hope things get fixed soon.I myself have had issues with being overcharged or charges on my bill that I did not catch until the next day, myself like others that have left reviews about this same issue have had no luck resolving this issue since the bar manager cant correct it and the owner seems to never be available to resolve issues. Its really dishearten to see a place that once use to have great staff now have the staff they do, to see regular customers stop coming in because of the bar manager is sad, its also sad to witness the the nastiness each time I visit this place. Hopefully the owners see these reviews and corrects the issues before the manager becomes abusive or she crosses the wrong customer.Lately I have struggled with leaving great tips after I witness hearing the nastiness, attitudes and just disrespect from the manager even if its not directed at me, maybe its time to find a different place for a friendly beer since these days this is hard to find at this local place of business.Hope things change soon!"
