"I searched for a soul food breakfast near me while staying in Downtown Miami and found Jackson's Soulfood in Historic Overtown. Despite high expectations, the experience fell short. The waitress was friendly, but the service on a Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. was very slow. They were out of champagne for mimosas, steaks for steak and eggs, and hot cocoa for the kids. Our order included french toast, waffles, bacon, catfish and grits, ham, biscuits, and hash browns. While the food was hot, it didn't all come out at once. Overall, it was just okay and I would give it a 6 out of 10, but it wasn't enough to make me want to return."
