"I'm really confused about what happened and if there were changes since the last time I came here, which was a few months ago. I came again about a week ago with my friends for a celebration. A few days prior to that, I called to make a lunch reservation for this Santa Clara location. The lady on the other end was really sweet and recorded all of the party information and date/time. However, on the day of, I arrived for the lunch I planned with my friends informing them i was here for my reservation, and the employee there looked extremely confused and said there was no reservation, while flipping through their notebook at the front. Thankfully since our reservation was for lunchtime right when Beque opens, there were still lots of tables, and so she said she will seat us even though we don't have a reservation. They only brought out 2 saucers of sauces for our party of 6 and forgot to bring out more until we reminded them. Our order took longer than usual to come out. Some people in my party also used the bathrooms and said they weren't maintained recently.Maybe I did not come on a good day or they were understaffed that day, because I did only see one person attending to all the tables during the time I was there. The experience i had last week contrasts greatly to the dinner I had here months before, which was also a reservation but was organized well by the staff. Although the service was not as it's strongest at this time, I will always appreciate Beque's generous portion sizes, fair pricing for AYCE, and extensive menu that contains many options without marinades and is perfect for people with allergies/intolerances."

"Seoul Garden? Seoul mediocre. High prices, slow service, bad food. You want more? They were out of the wine we ordered. The server announced that dessert would be green tea ice cream. Sounded nice, after a terrible dinner. She showed up with a half serving, for our party of 3, and said they were out of that flavor. Which could describe the meal. We had the BBQ Combo, at $100. Bland, dry beef that was an insult to the names bul gogi and short ribs. No sauce, no flavor. Bul gogi is supposedly marinated, stir-fried and succulent; short ribs should be tender. These two dishes were military grade. And the bedding for them, and a sad version of pork belly and a so-so chicken dish, was a sprinkling of chopped raw onions and carrots. Yep. The same stuff under all 4 dishes. Mysterious little side dishes appeared, with no explanations. A noodle dish, like the chicken, was passable. Nothing else was. Also: It took 30 minutes to get our food, and it all came at the same time. And half of it was cold. If the restaurant was busy, some of this might be excusable, but we were the only guests in the front room, and our friend checked the back, and saw only two tables occupied. Still, the long wait, and then the deluge of disappointments. Total bill: $170, with wine, sake $20 , tax and tip. And when I got home, I got a note from Open Table saying we had not honored our reservation. Although I told the host owner? my name and our reservation time, he apparently didn 't take notice. Must 've been just too busy."

"I want to preface this review by stating that I have gone to Dae Gee in Aurora on Havana for some time, and although I’ve received pushy waiters and occasionally rude servers overall it was never enough to make me say I wouldn’t return.Tonight- 3-3-2023 I met a friend at the restaurant. Upon entering an older female who was about to refuse to seat my friend and I because we were just a party of two, and she was trying to reserve the large tables for larger parties but there was no one there at the time. Luckily, a couple who sat at a table to cook themselves decided to have the restaurant cook for them so we were seated. The next issue came when our server Truong was asked to bring some more brisket, and he informed my friend and I that he couldn’t bring us any more until we finished what was on our plate. I told him okay although it seemed odd. He turned around from us and started speaking to a table across from us where three white males were sitting. I noticed that he brought them a plate full of meat, one of the items of which was brisket and as he proceeded to sit the plate down the guys sitting there had to move a plate to the side which still had frozen brisket on it. He turned around and I called him over and proceeded to ask him why he brought them brisket after just telling me that they would not bring my friend and I anymore until we finished what was on our plate, he proceeded to argue with us and tell us that it was “because they were actually eating the meat at their table” , I proceeded to inform him that I came there regularly and knew what I was capable of consuming (furthermore their menu clearly stated that they assess charges against people for food not consumed, so why was he metering my friend and I on what we could order). I informed Truong (name on the receipt) that I came to that restaurant often and that my friends and I usually tip very well for good service (often times 30-100% of the bill total) He walked back to the kitchen and then returned and apologized (stating it was his first night, but this was not the first time I received derogatory service), but I was pretty much over the meal at that point. I feel like the servers and staff of this restaurant assume if you’re a minority that you can be bullied, so they will try (as if you don’t know what the service should be like), or they will limit your service based on the perception that you won’t tip as well as white patrons. I had issues when I brought my children and their friend for dinner in December the older female waitress insisted that my children must listen to Rap music because my son had dreadlocks. I’m just over the disrespect every time I and my friends come to eat here it is over a hundred dollars in some cases 200-300 dollars. I don’t feel the need to spend my money where I feel unwanted, or unappreciated. I’ll be finding my way to other establishments from here on, and if you’ve experienced the same I recommend you do the same as well! The vibe here gives discrimination, sad for a restaurant seated in the middle of diverse Aurora. If they are training their new staff to be hardasses for the sake of turning a buck or two here and there, but they only treat certain people a certain way shame on them!Parking: Parking is not great for this area and can be cramped arrive early rather than late."
