"First of all, I want to commend the service—it was friendly and attentive. The food was flavorful, but there were a few areas where it fell short, which we hope will be improved over time.
The Cottage Pie featured delicious meat and a light, flaky crust. However, the description mentioned it includes meat, potatoes, veggies, and gravy, yet between the two pies we ordered, there was only one small slice of potato and no gravy or other vegetables. (Did I mention the meat was tasty?) I find it puzzling that a restaurant would put so much effort into creating a menu and description only to overlook them.
As for the Irish Nachos, they were also enjoyable, but we felt they lacked the toppings promised in the description. We could have used a few more scallions, a couple of extra dollops of sour cream, and just a bit more bacon to really make them stand out.
I believe that with a little more time to refine their offerings, Kilted Spirits has the potential to be a fantastic addition to Washougal. We plan to return in a few weeks to see how they progress!"
