"So I most definitely gotta leave a review hey guys those of you who have followed my reviews always know that I love to let others know about my experience that I have had which might be different from yours but hey this is my review. so I stepped out on faith today as I visited this restaurant located in Midlothian the name of the restaurant is called Gum Wah I'm a pretty loyal Patron meaning that when I like something I'm going to keep going there so my to go to restaurant I forgot it's closed on Sundays so I was looking on Google nearby restaurants and this one kind of stood out to me I checked the menu I read almost like 90 reviews and I looked at their food online so I said hey why not the gentleman that I talked to over the phone just had a really good energy about him you know like I could tell that he really cares about delivering world class customer service so this next comment doesn't have anything to do with them there wasn't really like a lot of spaces to park so I had to park in this Auto shop parking lot I looked around to see if my vehicle was going to be towed I didn't see anything plus I wasn't going to be in the restaurant very long which was next door so the gentleman at the pickup window was the same gentleman that I talked to over the phone I told him I was here for a pickup and while I waited for my food I think I waited less than 5 minutes I was looking at the menu and I just really had a great conversation with the gentleman that took my payment that I wanted to extend my gratitude appreciation so I left a tip and I had to get a smoothie I really like smoothies by the way I got a strawberry mixed with banana and I added tapioca to my smoothie so when my order was ready and I left the tip on the merchant reciept copy The gentleman gave me some Chinese almond cookies which you guys don't know are one of my favorite cookies and I really like the fortune cookies as well they always have a comforting message that I read when you crack them open I ordered a large chicken fried rice for my wife and son and I and I also got four vegetable egg rolls so I drink the whole entire smoothie before I got home and I wanted to wait and save the almond cookies. when I got home I ate all three almond cookies I left one so my wife can try it so she can see what all the fuss is about I have never had vegetable egg rolls so fresh also the chicken fried rice was so perfectly put together I might have found me a new Chinese restaurant also besides Chinese they specialize in Cantonese Mandarin and Szechuan cuisines so let me leave you with this if you guys are in the Midlothian community please visit this establishment they definitely deserve 10 Stars they are open Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday and they're closed on Monday."

"There were three of us. An LAPD Sr. Lead Officer, a representative from the Los Angeles City Counsel. The Officer has a limited time therefore had only a glass of water. The waitress was the antithesis of the service and demeanor that has always been a hallmark of The Hamlet. She was rude, pushy and unreasonable on EVERY level. The Officer and the City rep asked only for water. I had an Arnold Palmer. The server gave us menus. We explained that after he left we two would order. That didn 't deter her from returning every few minutes to ask about our order. Perhaps it 's relevant to say that when we arrived there was ONE party of two in the entire restaurant. ONE. So it wasn 't like there was a line out the door for lunch. For the better part of a year I 've been having lunch at 1pm EVERY WEEK. And there 's NEVER been a line of guests waiting for seats. NEVER. Moments, I mean less than a minute after the Officer left the waitress returned, asked for our order and told us, make that lectured to us that we couldn 't sit there unless we ordered. Without raising my voice I told her she was rude and pushy. That he had said that once the officer left we 'd order. Then she took a different tack. She said she was just checking back to see if we were ready to order. Ready to order? after the Officer was barely in his patrol car outside your front door. I told her to look around and tell me if property were waiting for tables to be available. Of course there weren 't because it was a typical Wednesday lunchtime at the Hamlet. 40, 50 maybe even 60% but absolutely no more. A few minutes later she returned, we ordered pea soup and cornbread (my all time favorite soup whether at a Hamlet or at the now departed Kate Mantillini 's on Wilshire at Doheny). The City rep and I commented to each other how ridiculous the scenario had been. The bill was paid and we left the table. Perhaps she was having a bad day. We all have a bad day but that 's no excuse. Your thoughts?..."

"it was for 32 years at yu 's to eat, it must try. try the egg rolls and crabs rangoon for appetizer, moo shoo is amazing. dragon and the phoenix is a classic chicken and garnel with sweet 'so tasty ', huge portions on the honey glaze walnut shrrels argument to the last bite, korean bark comes with boiled bevel that makes the dish amazing with aromen. from the small shop to where they are today, this schaumburg restaurant is a must on the list."

"We were exciting because we'd heard that Spring Rolls was highly gluten-free friendly. While it's true, what you'll sacrifice is taste. All four of the people in our party are allergic to gluten. The restaurant was truly friendly about accommodating us and said they could prepare any item on the menu to be gluten free. However, all in our party were disappointed with the bland taste and lack of flavor. All of the sauces substituted chicken broth for the sauce that should have been served. The house fried rice has a heavy seafood taste that was unpleasant. The Pad Thai was heavily spiced, but unbalanced since it was made with a chicken stock sauce. The non-gluten food looked delicious, especially the egg rolls and potstickers. The General Tso's chicken looked spectacular. Our dinner guests didn't care for the non gluten-free wonton soup. Overall, better than average Chinese food in Raleigh, which isn't saying much, but I expected much better."

"I had the worst dining experience of my life at this restaurant. Don't be misled by the positive reviews like we were. The orange chicken had bones in it and was severely overcooked. The sauce for the other dish was watery, and the meat wasn’t properly cooked. The duck sauce had an overpowering taste of alcohol. When I called to express my concerns, the manager was very disrespectful. I highly advise against going here."

"sauteed string bohnen were literally frozen green beans with something soaked on it. the peanut dimmer sauce for the saigon rolls was runny and cost rancid, but maybe that's the way it should be. the most expensive cup miss suppe I have ever ordered and quite inconspicuous with maybe 4 pieces seeweed in it. the pad thai was soupy, so the noodles were soggy. I asked about him spicy and it was still quite tasteless. the chicken and garnel tasted quite low quality. definitiw not worth the almost $60 I with control for this 4 items paid, not including the tip I gave to my shipper as it was definitiw not her fault. I usually can't wait to have Thai food for rest, and I torment the green beans and pad thai after I get through a few bites of power. the saignon rolls and miso were in order, but only because these two dishes do not really lend themselves to ruin easily. I hope I only have a bad night, but I won't be a customer."

"I have ordered here twice, walk-in/to go. This time I realized after I left that I (again) did not get my discount for walk-in orders placed between 3-5 . So I called to inquire and was told you have to have a coupon . I explained it doesn 't say that on the bag with GIANT writing advertising said discount. I was then told, you have to bring your bag next time, then you 'll get the discount . Again, nowhere does it clarify ANY of this and, no, I won 't be saving this full sized grocery bag and bringing it in on my next visit. Also, ordered plain fried rice and was given veggie fried which costs 3 times as much. Shady."

"Saying it dendends on who cooks your food, what their specialty is, how the food is packaged, is and will drastically change your experience is a understatement. This place ranges from 3-5 stars you might get great food or you might get something not of great quality. If you get your food in the cubed take out box just be aware all the flavor/juice/sauce has settled at the bottom. If you see the old man there, your food is probably going to be good!"

"It 's been quite the time since I had Thai food, almost four years and I am Siam did not disappoint. Authentic cuisine was very tasty and relatively inexpensive. Definitely, the local neighborhood favorite. I am glad I finally walked in. I chose the pork chow mein and it was delicious. The coconut noodle soup was satisfying and filled me with the comfort that I was searching for, I AM Siam is definitely worth stepping into this small cafe for a taste of some epic Thai. Service is kind and friendly too."

"The food was only ok, got the fish and chips the breading was a little thick and the seasoning needed, its hard to say it just was not attention getting. Maybe we will tey them again. I live in sylmar so its kinda a long way to go for ok. Its not a large place so if they are busy parking could be a problem, it was not for us as we were there kinda early."

"I picked up dinner tonight, May 26th, around 9:30 PM, and I had really high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, nothing on the menu matched what we received. I ordered three chicken entrees, all of which were supposed to be made with white breast meat, but that wasn't the case at all. We ended up having to pick out the meat and only ate the vegetables, rice, and noodles. This feels like false advertising, and I'm really disappointed. I try to support small businesses, but I won't be returning to this one. We spent nearly $80 for a meal that ended up in the trash."

"They were very busy the Sunday we stopped in while passing through town. But they were quick to take our order and were very accommodating in allowing us to wait while it was prepared. They had self serve drinks so we were able to sit and refresh while watching a little TV. It was definitely worth the wait!
