"Our meal at the VI restaurant was a treat of our stay at this charming Inn. My wife had the chicken pot pie and commented that it might be the best pot pie she had ever eaten and she is a big fan of pot pies so that was saying something It was rich and filling with a nice crispy puff pastry crust on top. She said that what made it special for her was that there was truffle oil on top that gave it extra richness and depth of flavor. A plus on her meal for sure. I had fish and chips. I am not normally a fish eater but I saw this dish served to another table and it looked great. I also found out they were using Petrale Sole which is a better fish than Halibut in my opinion and I had years as a commercial fisherman to form that opinion. I was not disappointed and loved my fish and chips made with such superior quality fish. The fries came out so hot and crispy as well as the fish. Even the side of cole slaw was excellent. Anytime I travel through this area I will make it a point to return to this great Inn and restaurant. What a treat this stop was for us."
