"To start, my order arrived quite late due to DoorDash, but that's no fault of the restaurant. When I opened the bags, everything was fresh and steaming hot, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the level 7 spicy Vegetable Drunken Noodles, and they were double-wrapped to prevent any spills—thank you for that! They had a good amount of heat, but it wasn’t overwhelming. The vegetables were fresh and delicious, and the portion size was more than reasonable. I can't stop raving about how good it was! I also got steamed chicken dumplings that came with garlic soy sauce. The order contained five sizeable dumplings—definitely larger than the usual size, probably like putting two smaller ones together. The sauce was delightful, tangy, and slightly sweet, and I think the filling consisted of minced chicken, seasoned veggies, and garlic. Topped with what seemed to be toasted garlic, the dumplings provided a nice textural contrast. What really impressed me was that I requested an extra side of chili sauce in my notes on DoorDash, and the restaurant delivered! They packaged the sauce in a plastic baggie to avoid spills. After experiencing so many disappointing DoorDash orders in the past, I was truly blown away by this one. I wish I had taken photos because everything was fantastic! I can't wait to visit the restaurant in person for dinner. Thank you, everyone! This is how you earn a loyal customer!"

"Firstly, I find it odd that this place has been open for a few years now and only has 112 reviews. I honestly think it’s because the owners are very nice people probably just don’t WANT to leave a bad review.I’m leaving one because I’m annoyed I spent my hard earned money here, and I’ll explain why.1) They don’t cook everything fresh. The “vegetable dumplings” are actually potstickers bought from BJs. Bibigo vegetable organic potstickers. I could tell they were frozen. They were also over cooked and burnt. I begrudgingly ate (most of) them anyway, having not eaten all day and having waited a looong time for them already.2) The edamame were undercooked and no seasoning. They could have done with another 1 2 minutes. And salt and garlic.. something… Edamame is not difficult to cook. By now I already did not have much hope for the mains, but was too late to leave as we had pre ordered the mains with the appetizers.3) The fried rice entree was full of oil. Soooo much oil. See the glistening photos. No seasoning either. I don’t think even any salt. The additional $3 charge for shrimp consisted of 2 over boiled shrimp. Disgusting.4) The food took extremely long to come to the table. We were there for almost 2 hours for appetizers and the main. To be served store bought food AND the place being dead (see empty tables) I find this unacceptable.5) The boba isn’t made fresh. Also Bubblegum flavor was advertised as blueberry. For the first time, my kid did not want to drink boba tea.My Thai curry was pretty good and flavorful, but I asked for Level 3 5 spice and it was more of a 5. Being Asian myself, I’m very accustomed to spicy food so luckily I was fine to eat it. Also was sparse on the shrimp, i counted 5 shrimps. The white rice was nice, but no one eats out for just plain white rice. It was not worth anything near what they charge. This is the first time EVER that not only I have not enjoyed Thai food, but been repulsed. We sent the oily rice back and had to ask them to remove it from the bill, as they kept it on. I would never come back here nor support businesses who buy in pre packaged ready made food to sell on for a premium price. The lady owner IS very nice and kind. Unfortunately you need more than a nice personality to be a good cook. Although, if she was not so nice, I would leave a 1 star. I don’t find it right that they are charging people for this... I don’t write this to put them out of business, but for them to up their game!!"

"I had never had Thai food prior to my 30 's with the exception of a trip to Georgia. Clearly the good people of Georgia can do some things well, but Thai is not one of them. River Thai was not my first experience with this food, but it was the best. I went here on the recommendation of a Chiropractor who had a friend who was a huge foodie. That foodie told the Chiropractor that River Thai had the best Thai food he had ever eaten and it surpassed any other placed by far. My favorite dish is the Pad Thai. it is fantastic, regardless of your choice of protein. I enjoy the curry puff appetizer. They are more than accommodating with the spice levels from not at all up to oh my God, why did I ask for this? I have never had a bad meal there. My wife, who has eaten far more Thai food than I have also has said that no one makes better Pad Thai. While I have primarily eaten in the restaurant, we have ordered take out from time to time. We have always picked up when ordering take out. The restaurant is clean inside, if not a little small, but it doesn 't need to be large. The people are very nice. The only complaint I have ever had is not everyone at the table 's food comes out at the same time. They will carry one or two dishes out at a time. This has never been a personal problem that took away from my enjoyment, just a little quirk of this particular place. I absolutely recommend it and if my family ever wants Thai, this is where we go."
