"We ordered the meat platter, which included beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp sautéed over a bed of chow mein. This was the comforting food we needed to kick off our day of museum visits (we're visiting from NYC). The portions were generous and easily filled us up. We complemented our meal with Thai iced teas, and the whole experience truly warmed our hearts. We even took some leftovers home because it was that delicious! When it was time to ask for the bill, Grandpa Lee inquired, “Leaving so soon?” which only made me want to linger longer! It genuinely feels like visiting your own grandparents, just as other reviewers have noted. He even surprised us with some brownies for dessert and packed us three persimmons to take on our journey. All of this wonderful food cost just $31—he could definitely charge more! Just a heads up, it's cash only. Please pay Grandpa Lee a visit and support his small business!"

"My friends and I dined there on a Saturday night after making reservations in advance. It was apparent Green Lettuce was not staffed to handle the typical Saturday night crowd. When our appetizers were served we had to wait 10 minutes to get forks and knives to eat them with. Had to wait another 5 minutes to get the napkins. It took 20 minutes to bring a bottle of wine and then we had to ask for the other 2 glasses as they had only brought 2. The lamb kebobs were overcooked. The basic salad which cost $12 only had greens, a couple of slices of cucumber and onion. Add salmon to the salad for an extra $10. The food was overpriced for the quality and service. There were only 2 servers (including the hostess) that had to attend to 12 tables (40-50 people) and had to deal with food and bar service. One of the cooks from the kitchen helped serve the food, often guessing which table had what food. I cannot blame them, but can only blame the owner of Green Lettuce to allow this to happen. I do not recommend this place for weekend evening dining."
