Additionally, I had a concerning experience when I got locked inside the bathroom and had to loudly call for help. The overall atmosphere of this restaurant is strange, and I do not plan on returning."

"This is a cozy spot for Peruvian-style chicken. The chicken is consistently tasty, and because the restaurant is small, they typically prepare it throughout the day. This means you can avoid the rush that some places experience, which often leads to dry chicken. The menu options aren't as extensive as at some similar restaurants, but everything is well-executed. I really enjoy their fried yucca and plantains. The beans and rice are also quite good. Plus, the fries reheat nicely the next day in an air fryer. My only complaint—which may not apply to everyone—is that they tend to go heavy on the mayo-based sauces while skimping on the Aji verde. You'll want to ask for extra green sauce to balance out the yellow and orange sauces."

"Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Chicken Platter with dark meat, plantains, and beans with rice. The chicken was outstanding—hot, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with crispy skin. I'm glad I didn't go for a half chicken because I could have easily finished it all! The friendly server asked if I wanted hot or mild sauce; I chose hot, but it wasn’t very spicy—then again, this is Maryland! The sauce was tasty but honestly unnecessary because the chicken already had great flavor. The beans and rice were just plain white rice and black beans—not bad, just simple. The plantains were cooked to perfection—soft and flavorful, a perfect match for the Peruvian chicken. The quarter chicken was just the right portion for the meal, but I’m definitely tempted to try two legs and thighs with plantains next time. That chicken was incredible!"

"I love their seasoning. Chicken breast is always super golden outside and moist inside. My husband says their fried yuca could be much better and wonders how they don't notice that. Staff is ok, not outstanding, but at least not rude. I do carry out often and notice that the front of the house is always clean. Their loyalty/points program is amazing. I get freebies every now and then."

"UPDATED REVIEW: My husband went to pick up our family meal as we’ve done a few times prior without issue. Only difference this time is I didn’t pay online. When he went to pick up he realized the amount they were charging was about $5 more than theonline receipt. Not a huge deal but obviously you’d assume the store would honor the online price (which is exactly what wepaid the other times). They did not. And to add insult to injury, when my husband ask for the manager the woman at the registergave my husband the finger. While honestly I kind of find this reaction hilarious over $5 that shouldn’t have been charged. Atthis point my husband walked out and we got pizza next door. While I will miss the chicken, they need to get their stafftogether before I return. Original Review: Great food and a great value! We just tried this place for the first time thismonth and have ordered twice. The chicken is delicious and the sides are varied and plentiful. There is something for everyone.The salad sides are a bit lack luster, but I will forgive them as everything else is so tasty!"

"The sweet potato fries are absolutely incredible—seriously, they're delicious! We ordered the Aloha and the Gruyere sandwiches, and the chicken in both was incredibly fresh and tasty; they definitely didn’t hold back on the portions! However, both sandwiches were a bit dry, even with the sauce provided, so I was glad we ordered some extra. I do wish there were more sauce options available, but the chimichurri was a great choice."

"Whoever is running this place is a pure hustler. I went there at night and the my were literally giving me old chicken that they keep in this weird metal oven below. The side of rice comes in a container that is really thin and deceiving. The the smallest side order quantity I’ve ever gotten anywhere. The sauce is the best sauce I’ve ever had in my life. The employees rude and as another one of the reviews mentioned I also felt that they were unhappy to see me walk in for an order. Rude and aggressive. The side orders were microwaved. I couldn’t believe it. They were microwaving them. SMH. They try to hide this stuff behind this huge brick wall they have covering the food prep area right in front of you. The people of the area deserve much better than this. I’m going to edit this comment often so it comes back to the top."

"(June 20, 2018) The restaurant has updated its staff, and they perform significantly better than the previous team. The chicken is the best in the area. (March 22, 2019) I still visit this restaurant every day, and I appreciate the attention and attitude of the team. The chicken is always fresh and served hot, reminiscent of French fries. I highly recommend coming here. (February 20, 2020) They have a rewards program that is displayed on the screen, but it can be quite confusing. Often, when you try to redeem a reward, the cash register indicates something completely different. (March 22, 2020) After two years of dining at this restaurant, I can say the staff couldn’t be better; they feel like family! I eat this chicken every day and never get tired of it. The pink sauce is my favorite! I just love how juicy it is!"
