"Another reviewer said, 'Old, worn down building and about as clean as a Waffle House, but good, cheap food. ' That about sums it up. Nothing outside or inside will attract you to it...but, the server was prompt, friendly, and I had a huge bowl of good, home-cooked vegetable soup with cornbread. The cornbread was unusually savory (rather than sweet) and I enjoyed that. We were the only ones masked but nobody seemed to care. The cook told us about Noonday Trail (a short distance away) so we could walk before we hit the road again. We were glad we chanced upon Carol 's."
