"While this restaurant might struggle to last six months in Chicago, it stands out as one of the best Italian dining options in the NW IL/SW WI region. The sauce is unique and definitely homemade, with some variation in taste on each visit. We mostly opt for takeout, but we've dined in as well. One issue is with the management: the waitstaff is responsible for both takeout orders and tables, which can lead to subpar service. There have been occasions when we've left after waiting 15 minutes just to receive menus, water, or bread, and we've experienced long waits for takeout too—though generally, the takeout service is reliable, sometimes at the expense of patrons dining in. Having lived in Chicago's Little Italy, I can confidently say that some dishes here are worth the drive. We don’t live in Brodhead, yet this place offers better Italian cuisine than other cities like Freeport, Rockford, Monroe, Beloit-Janesville, and possibly even Madison. As I mentioned, they would be mediocre in Chicago, but out here, they are a welcome haven for Italian food enthusiasts, offering much more than just pizza. I would, and do, recommend them to friends."
